Cha Yu-Ri and Jo Kang-Hwa married soon after they graduated after 3 years. They have a wonderful and sweet family bonding. Cha Yu-Ri passed away when she met an accident. She was pregnant at that time. She died and delivered the child.

Meanwhile, Jo Kang-Hwa works as a chest surgeon. He failed to rescue his wife and he felt guilty about it. He only did outpatients consultant and did not dare to enter the surgery room. He has trauma to conduct the surgery. After the death of his wife, he remarried with Oh Min-Jung. She was loving and took care of Seo-Woo.

Jeon Eun-Sook (Cha Yu-Ri's mom) insisted to let Jo Kang-Hwa to take care of her granddaughter and she will not take care of her or seeing her granddaughter. She did that so that he can move on with his life. Although she might sound a bit arrogant, she hides her feeling and thought well.

Ever since Cha Yu-Ri became a ghost, she always stays beside her husband and daughter. She was glad that Oh Min-Jung treated her daughter with love. She also felt sorry for her husband for taking up all the burden. Cha Yu-Ri was surprised when she realised that her daughter can see ghost. Seo-Woo nearly died when she played hide and seek with a ghost child. She asked Ms Mi-Dong what can she do to not to let her daughter see ghost. The reason why her daughter can see ghost is because Cha Yu-Ri always beside her and caused her weak energy.

Cha Yu-Ri suddenly became a human one day. She asked Ms Mi-Dong about it. She told her that it was a punishment from the deity who allowed her to be human so that she carries out a reincarnation project for 49 days. She was happy that she has become human. Ms Mi-Dong warned her that she should not let other ghosts to notice about she can see them. In order for she to stay alive, she has to go back to her rightful place.

After 5 years, Cha Yu-Ri reappears in front of Jo Kang-Hwa when he and his family went for a Christmas parade. He was surprised to see her for the second time when she hugged their daughter in the park. Oh Min-Jung was worried about the missing Seo-Woo. Jo Kang-Hwa brought her back to Oh Min-Jung. When she asked him who took their child? He told her that one of his friends took her away from kindergarten.

Jo Kang-Hwa brought Cha Yu-Ri to a restaurant. She was anxious to face him. She did not know how to tell him about her coming back alive and also their daughter who was able to see ghost. She just told him that she was being reward by the deity to let her enjoyed her vacation for 49 days. Jo Kang-Hwa gave her credit card as well as arranged accommodation for her.

Oh Min-Jung found Jo Kang-Hwa acted weirdly. She also planned to file a divorce without his acknowledgement. Jo Kang-Hwa was nearly fired by the hospital due to his failure to conduct surgery professionally. He nearly killed the patient. Jo Kang-Hwa was nervous and felt unbelievable that his wife was alive. He faced a disciplinary punishment from the committee.

Cha Yu-Ri did not want to waste any time. She decided to fully utilized her time as a human. She spent a lot of money on food since she was not be able to eat whatever she wanted as a ghost. One family ghost realized that she has become human. They talked to her to them to do a favor for them. She did not want to because she has to settle her stuff too. Their conversation has been overheard by other ghosts. They chased her everywhere since she was able to see them.

Cha Yu-Ri applied a job as kitchen assistance at Seo-Woo’s kindergarten. First, she was able to see her child. Secondly, she wanted to chase the child ghost away from her daughter. She seeks help from Ms Mi-Dong. She gave her a talisman, but did not work for child ghost. She advised her to let the child ghost see his mother and then he will follow his mother. Cha Yu-Ri arranged his mother to come over the kindergarten to take their belonging. The child ghost was happy and followed his mother. Seo-Woo also handed over the toy of the child ghost to his mother. His mother was touched and glad for what Seo-Woo done for her.

Most of the mother spoke ill about Seo-Woo as they believed that she might affect the development of other students. Seo-Woo was slow learner and she did not speak a lot. Oh Min-Jung brought her to consult doctor and she was surprised with the result. When she went to the kindergarten to pick up Seo-Woo, she was shocked to meet Cha Yu-Ri there.

Cha Yu-Ri missed her family, especially her mother. She saw her mother has knee pain. She bought the supplement and put in front of the door. She also bought Ko Hyun-Jung favourite food and placed it in front of her store. She realised that life is precious and should appreciate every single second with the love ones.

Cha Yu-Ri told Jo Kang-Hwa that she knew he has remarried and she did not mean to affect their life. He bought a handphone for her. Ko Hyun-Jung was Cha Yu-Ri’s best friend. Cha Yu-Ri accidently pressed like in social media which caused Ko Hyun-Jung surprised about it. She even shocked when she saw her in person in front of the kindergarten.  She was glad to see her alive. They hugged and cried together. Ko Hyun-Jung’s husband was shocked too when he saw the CCTV and also Cha Yu-Ri in person.

Other ghosts knew that Cha Yu-Ri becomes human. They asked her how did she do to become human. She told them the reason. All of the ghost went to the temple and scold the deity. Ms Mi-Dong came and stopped all of them. She also placed the talisman to stop them from roaming around. One of the talismans flied away. The family ghost managed to come out. They looked for Cha Yu-Ri to remove other talismans. She removed all of them. Other ghosts begged for to help them fulfil their wishes. She promised that she will only do each of them a favour.  Other ghosts were thinking what was the wishes they want her to help them fulfil.

Cha Yu-Ri wanted to get a doll for her daughter. She failed many times. Jang Pil-Seung was there. He got many dolls from the machine. She asked him to help her get the doll for her daughter. The family ghost came by. He was the family ghost’s son. Jang Pil-Seung did not get the doll for her. When she wanted to buy the doll from him, he refused. He only gave her the dinosaur doll. He found her weird as she was speaking to nobody.

Cha Yu-Ri managed to remove all the ghost in the kindergarten away. She has headache to remove the one in her house. The family ghost asked Cha Yu-Ri to clean their son’s room and also cook a meal for him. She was unable to get out of the room before Jang Pil-Seung came back. Jang Pil-Seung found out about her and accidently hit her. He apologised to her.

Cha Yu-Ri was anxious when she faced Oh Min-Jung. Ko Hyun-Jung was surprised that Cha Yu-Ri knew her so well. She even asked her whether she wanted to get back to her husband and daughter. Some of the mothers gossiping with one another regarding Oh Min-Jung divorce. Ko Hyun-Jung overheard it. Cha Yu-Ri did not want them to divorce because she knew that she was a good person and she was unable to take care of her daughter since she was not belonging to there.

Oh Min-Jung was surprised when she saw Cha Yu-Ri treated Seo-Woo differently. She also looked at the picture of Jo Kang-Hwa’s ex-wife. She wondered why she looked the same as her. Cha Yu-Ri offered herself to be pick-up helper. Jo Kang-Hwa was truly against it. He did not know how to tell Oh Min-Jung about it.

Cha Yu-Ri ‘s father came to the kindergarten to visit his granddaughter. Cha Yu-Ri was nearly caught by him. She missed her father very much. Jo Kang-Hwa secretly followed Cha Yu-Ri. He knew that she missed her family, however, she did not dare to enter her house. Jo Kang-Hwa asked her why she did not let her parent know about her. She did not want to break their heart once again if she left.

Oh Min-Jung decided to hire Cha Yu-Ri to be their pick-up helper. Jo Kang-Hwa was nervous but he did not dare to tell Oh Min-Jung about it. Ms Mi-Dong came to see Cha Yu-Ri at Ko Hyun-Jung’s restaurant. Ms Mi-Dong told Cha Yu-Ri that her mother accidentally overheard her conversation with a fake shaman. Ko Hyun-Jung was away at that time. When Ms Mi-Dong asked Cha Yu-Ri about her getting back to her place, she was shocked. She never expected that she will leave after 49 days. She persuaded her to quickly get back to her husband and her family member. Cha Yu-Ri cried. She did not want to see Jo Kang-Hwa cry again because she witnessed him crying a lot after her death.

Cha Yu-Ri also envied other family who was able to spend their quality time with their loves one. Cha Yu-Ri’s mother rode a bicycle. She argued with her husband because he secretly visited their granddaughter at the kindergarten. She also found it weird when they received the supplement placed outside their house almost every day. She reminded Cha Yu-Ri who always ensure that her parent will take the supplement. Her mother was shocked to see Cha Yu-Ri with Ko Hyun-Jung at the street crying and hugging one another.

Cha Yu-Ri’s mother fainted and sent to hospital due to her weak heart. Her family members rush to the hospital too. They were shocked to see Cha Yu-Ri alive. They couldn’t keep hugging her. Cha Yu-Ri started her first day as a pick-up helper. She cherished Seo-Woo so much. She did not expect Seo-Woo has so many classes to attend. Seo-Woo gave one egg for Cha Yu-Ri and another one for Oh Min-Jung. Oh Min-Jung invited Cha Yu-Ri to come to her house. Cha Yu-Ri wanted to get rid of the ghost in their house. She prepared the talisman. However, she did not have the chance to locate the ghost. Jo Kang-Hwa tried to avoid Cha Yu-Ri at home. He purposely came back late. He did not expect Cha Yu-Ri still at home. When Oh Min-Jung sent Cha Yu-Ri off, Jo Kang-Hwa was terribly hungry. He saw the eggs on the table. He ate them. Cha Yu-Ri realised that she has forgotten to take the egg. They went upstairs together. They yelled at him for eating that eggs.

Cha Yu-Ri thought that if she got rid of the ghosts from her kindergarten and house, Seo-Woo will never see ghost again. She asked Ms Mi-Dong what if Seo-Woo still keep seeing ghost. Ms Mi-Dong told her that her daughter will become a shaman like her. Cha Yu-Ri did not want her daughter to become a shaman.

Cha Yu-Ri’s mother was wondering why she always not at home. She came to meet Jo Kang-Hwa. He told her that she was working as a kitchen assistance and pick-up helper. That’s how she met and played with her daughter. Cha Yu-Ri’s mother asked him why he still trauma to perform surgery and why he did not receive treatment. He told her that he felt guilty for being better.

Ko Hyun-Jung asked Cha Yu-Ri the reason why she wanted to die after 49 days. She told her that Seo-Woo can see ghost. Besides, she was also a ghost wondering around Seo-Woo for the past 5 years. She also told her that she knew Oh Min-Jung very well. She knew about her preferences and how her personality was. Suddenly, Oh Min-Jung showed up at Ko Hyun-Jung’s restaurant. Oh Min-Jung, Cha Yu-Ri and Ko Hyun-Jung became closer friend together. They went for a drink. Oh Min-Jung told them that she was curious about Cha Yu-Ri but her husband never mentioned about his ex-wife. She wanted to become a good step-mother for Seo-Woo. Cha Yu-Ri proposed to the principle to get rid of the storybook that portrait stepmother as an evil person.

The kid’s mothers bad mouthing Oh Min-Jung for filing a divorce and going to abandon Seo-Woo. One of them accidentally sent to the wrong chatting group. Oh Min-Jung, Cha Yu-Ri and Ko Hyun-Jung saw the message and angry about them. They joined hands and punished the mothers for bad mouthing others. Three of them has become very good friends. Ko Hyun-Jung met Ms Mi-Dong how to make Cha Yu-Ri to stay alive. Guk-Bong, the exorcist who has the success rate of 99.99% for sending the soul to the heaven. He came to meet Ms Mi-Dong who has a very low success rate. Guk-Bong tried to send the ghost who committed suicide to the heaven first. He was also asking Ms Mi-Dong about Seo-Woo and Cha Yu-Ri’s case. While Jo Kang-Hwa was spending time with his daughter, Seo-Woo mentioned about Cha Yu-Ri’s presence in their photos. Jo Kang-Hwa was surprised about it.

Jo Kang-Hwa asked Cha Yu-Ri whether did she mention about her name in front of Seo-Woo. She did not. Jo Kang-Hwa told her that Seo-Woo knew her name. Cha Yu-Ri burst in crying. She never knew that her daughter knew her presence for such a long time. She felt sorry at the same time too.

Jo Kang-Hwa and Cha Yu-Ri’s mother persuaded her to let Oh Min-Jung know about her true identity. Cha Yu-Ri insisted not to let her know about it. Ms Mi-Dong rescued Cha Yu-Ri from Guk-Bong. Guk-Bong warned Cha Yu-Ri that he will come back for her and her daughter. Cha Yu-Ri wanted to protect her daughter. She bought a stick and pepper spray for Oh Min-Jung to warn her about the danger of people who might kidnapped Seo-Woo. Ms Mi-Dong asked Cha Yu-Ri why she did not want to get back her place. She told her that Seo-Woo only recognised Oh Min-Jung as her mother. She did not want to tear them apart.

Ko Hyun-Jung asked Oh Min-Jung whether did she intend to divorce. She said she decided to change her mind because she loved Jo Kang-Hwa. Ko Hyun-Jung did not know what to do. She tried to help Cha Yu-Ri but on the other hand, she did not want to hurt Oh Min-Jung. Jo Kang-Hwa and Kye Keun-Sang felt very strange about Cha Yu-Ri. Jo Kang-Hwa felt that she was hiding something from him. They tried to ask Ko Hyun-Jung about Cha Yu-Ri but she did not tell them.

Jo Kang-Hwa let Cha Yu-Ri to babysit Seo-Woo without Oh Min-Jung’s acknowledgement. Cha Yu-Ri and her family were happy about it. Seo-Woo also spent a happy moment there. Oh Min-Jung realised that Jo Kang-Hwa lied to her, because he told her that he went to Ko Hyun-Jung’s house to play with Seo-Woo’s friend. While Jo Kang-Hwa brought Seo-Woo on the way back to home, Guk-Bong followed behind them. Guk-Bong told Jo Kang-Hwa about Cha Yu-Ri’s secret. He told him that she was around him all the time for the past 5 years. Jo Kang-Hwa was surprised about it and went to see Cha Yu-Ri. He asked Cha Yu-Ri how could she stand to watch what happened for the past 5 years. In the past 5 years, Cha Yu-Ri saw her husband dating with Oh Min-Jung and finally got married.

Cha Yu-Ri consoled Jo Kang-Hwa not to blame himself and let her go. She also told him the truth that Seo-Woo can see ghost and also the exorcist, Guk-Bong. Oh Min-Jung was worried about Jo Kang-Hwa and Seo-Woo who did not come back home yet. She met Ko Hyun-Jung and found out that Seo-Woo was at her house. Ko Hyun-Jung lied to her that Jo Kang-Hwa went to the hospital due to emergency. Jo Kang-Hwa told Oh Min-Jung to hire a new pick-up helper. Oh Min-Jung wanted to know the reason. He said he will tell her the reason.

Oh Min-Jung let Cha Yu-Ri to take care of Seo-Woo. Cha Yu-Ri let Seo-Woo to play with her father. However, she went missing. Seo-Woo was nearly being caught by Guk-Bong. Luckily the family ghost distracted Guk-Bong and brought Seo-Woo to somewhere safe. Cha Yu-Ri was angry towards Guk-Bong. She came and see Ms Mi-Dong for help. Ms Mi-dong promised that she will protect them. 

Oh Min-Jung was disappointed towards Cha Yu-Ri for not taking care of Seo-Woo. She did not want to see her at the moment. Jo Kang-Hwa honest to Oh Min-Jung that the pickup-helper was Cha Yu-Ri and she came back to life. Oh Min-Jung was shocked to hear that. She could not believe it. Oh Min-Jung previously bought a present for three of them. She came to see Ko Hyun-Jung. She found out that she called her Cha Yu-Ri.

Cha Yu-Ri saw her mother on the way to hospital for check-up. Jo Kang-Hwa decided to conquer his fear to surgery room. He entered there for 10 min. He rushed out from the surgery due to breathing difficulty. Cha Yu-Ri overheard the conversation of the nurses regarding her husband situation. She rushed to the stairs and found him there.

Cha Yu-Ri was glad that she has a love family and also a good bestie. She missed Seo-Woo so much. However, she did not want to see Oh Min-Jung and Jo Kang-Hwa suffered because of her. She did not have much time left. She was going to die soon. She was grateful that the family ghost has helped her. Unfortunately, they were sent up by Guk-Bong. Cha Yu-Ri decided to change her mind that she wanted to live so badly to Ms Mi-Dong. Ms Mi-Dong told her that she has to leave so that her daughter will longer see ghost anymore.

Jo Kang-Hwa overheard the conversation from Ko Hyun-Jung to know that Cha Yu-Ri was going to die. He was surprised and asked her to explain everything to him. He met Cha Yu-Ri and told her that he already told Oh Min-Jung about her. Cha Yu-Ri felt guilty towards Oh Min-Jung because she did not want to ruin their relationship. Oh Min-Jung was worried about her marriage since Cha Yu-Ri has came back to life. She spoke to Jo Kang-Hwa that she decided to left the family.

Cha Yu-Ri met Ko Hyun-Jung. Ko Hyun-Jung tried to hold her back so that she can continue to live in this world. However, Cha Yu-Ri told her that she already accepted that fact that she had passed away for the past 5 years. Jo Kang-Hwa realised that Cha Yu-Ri don’t have much time left. He decided to bring Seo-Woo and Cha Yu-Ri for an outing.  Cha Yu-Ri was grateful that Jo Kang-Hwa allocated some time for her to spend precious time with her daughter.

Cha Yu-Ri’s mother saw Oh Min-Jung at the playground. She consoled her not to worry about their marriage, as she trusted her daughter that she will not ruin other’s happiness. Cha Yu-Ri also met Oh Min-Jung. She apologised to her for keeping her identity secret. Oh Min-Jung was really upset because she doesn’t know how to express herself as everyone kept apologised to her.

Cha Yu-Ri told Jo Kang-Hwa to let her left the world. She also urged him not to blame himself or felt guilty towards her. Cha Yu-Ri explained that as long as she left, Seo-Woo won’t be able to see ghost anymore. Jo Kang-Hwa insisted that there could be a way to solve this issue and he begged her to stay. Ms Mi-Dong found out the answer why the God allowed Cha Yu-Ri to stay as human. It was because Cha Yu-Ri’s mother prayed to the God everyday so that she can meet her daughter one more time. She told Cha Yu-Ri about it. Cha Yu-Ri was touched and relieved.

She made a listing to fulfil her dream and say goodbye to her family and friends. Although Jo Kang-Hwa and Ko Hyun-Jung did not want her to leave, they respected her decision for the sake of Seo-Woo. Cha Yu-Ri’s mother had the same dream everyday about Cha Yu-Ri said goodbye to her. Cha Yu-Ri’s mother told Jo Kang-Hwa to send her off with a smile. She expressed that she will not ask her to stay but sent her off with a smile. Cha Yu-Ri got the second chance to say goodbye to everyone before she left. She appreciated every moment spent during the 49 days.
