3 years ago, in order to fight against the Japanese from invaded into Joseon, Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju and Lord Ahn Hyeon discussed about using resurrection plant to turn those who are sick into monster so that they can defeat the Japanese. Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju also used the same method to turn the King who was going to die into monster.

The zombies attacked them during the day. The Prince were really shocked and could not understand why the zombies appeared during day time. As the zombies outnumbered them, they could not protect the fence anymore. They have to flee to another palace. They started to plan their strategy again. However, something unfortunate happened. There was a fire caused their food storage warehouse on fire. They don’t have enough food to feed everyone.

Seo-bi and Cho Beom-pal were looking for herbs in the wood. They eventually discovered and explored the Frozen Valley. Seo-bi found the resurrection plant. However, they were surrounded by the zombie. Seo-bi realized that zombies do not afraid of sun, it was due to the temperature changes. One thing for sure is that, zombies are afraid of water. Since Seo-bi and Cho Beom-pal have been trapped in the Frozen Valley, their only way was to move up the hill and headed to Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s house to seek for protection. When the Lord Cho Hak-ju asked about the plant that Seo-bi was holding, she explained to him about it.

Seo-bi realized that something fishy has happened in Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s house. She followed the guard and discovered that they had released a monster from one of the rooms.

The Prince sneaked into Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s house. He has been tricked by Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju. He locked the Prince inside the room with the King who turned into monster. Although he hesitated to kill his own father, he has no other choice. Lord Ahn Hyeon wanted to rescue the Prince, but he has been attacked by the guard. Before he passed away, he told the Prince to make him turned into monster in front of everyone in order his name for committing treason. The Prince was being locked up by Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju. When Seo-bi treated his wound, he signaling her to make Lord Ahn Hyeon into monster with resurrection plant.

Lord Ahn Hyeon attacked Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju. However, the Prince killed him. everyone in the Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s residence decided to follow the Prince orders as the Prince revealed the truth behind Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju.

The Queen was not pregnant. She tried to fool all the ministers in order to gain power in the palace. She also hided from his father about her pregnancy. She waited other pregnant women to born a son for her. The Queen has killed many pregnant women who gave birth with a girl. the Special Forces Commander discovered the corpses of the death women and new born baby girls. When he tried to investigate the case, the queen has stopped them.

Moo-Young betrayed the Prince and brought Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju, Seo-bi and Cho Beom-pal headed to the Palace. He has been threatened by Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s son before he left his family behind and followed the Prince. Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju’s son ordered him to reveal the Prince whereabout. On the other hand, he also arranged a place for his pregnant wife to wait for delivery. Seo-bi told Moo-Young about the herbs that Cho Beom-pal collected. That herb was used for those who miscarriage or after giving birth. She found it weird about it. Moo-Young also recalled that he sent his wife to the place where many pregnant women gathering. He asked Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju about it. However, the guards attacked him. When the Prince found him, he barely survived and passed away.

The Prince went to Hanyang with his comrade. They managed to save Moo-Young’s wife. Moo-Young’s wife told them that they took her child away. The Queen stole her son and claimed as hers. Seo-bi cured Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju. She found the root cause for the disease. The Prince looked for Seo-bi and asked her to treat Moo-Young’s wife. He also requested her to check on the Queen. The Prince met his long-distance uncle. Seo-bi also told the Prince about cure.

Chief State Councilor Lord Cho Hak-ju overheard the minister mentioned about the Queen palace has many death pregnant women and baby girls. He brought Seo-bi with him and went to see the Queen. He asked Seo-bi to check on the Queen’s pulse. The Queen’s secret was revealed. The Queen poisoned her father and lockup Seo-bi. Seo-bi was terrified when her eyes were covered clothes and heard the Zombies sound nearby her.

The Prince came to Hanyang Palace. He brought his men together. He handed the medical journal of the King to the Minister in order to convince them that the Queen was behind the King illness. When the Prince arrived at the Palace and face-to-face with the Queen. The Queen carried a child with her. The Prince forced the Queen to step down from her position. When the ministers went to the Queen Palace to take her seal away, one of her servants release the zombie from the lockup. The zombie transmitted from one another. The Prince and his men quickly closed all the door to prevent the disease from spreading. He also lured the zombie to the lake. Although the zombie was outnumbered them, they tried their best to break the ice on the lake as the zombies were afraid of water. Most of his men including himself have been bitten by the zombies. When the ice break, everyone was dumped into the lake. They were survived from being infected.

The zombies attacked the Queen and the baby too. Seo-bi tried her best to protect the baby. She rescued the baby by putting the fire on the cloth and covered herself with it. when she realized the baby was bitten, she placed the baby in the water so that the worm can come out from his body. When the Prince came back to the palace and looked for the baby, Seo-bi assured the Prince that the baby was not harm. She asked the Prince to spare his life. Although the Ministers were doubt about the baby’s identity and also became a threat for the Prince. The Prince decided to give up his position and also asked them to change the history that he has passed away from the plague.

7 years later, the baby has grown up and crowned as a King. He was curious about his parents and brother death. Seo-bi, Yeong-shin and the former Crown Prince continued to investigate the resurrection plant. They realized that there are many places has the resurrection plant. They asked the villages about it. Two of them explained that they planted the resurrection plant so that they can earn more money from selling them to China Merchant. Seo-bi and the former Crown Prince arrived at the empty village. Seo-bi found the resurrection plant inside one of the houses. Suddenly, they were attacked by a zombie who wore a bell on its leg. The former Crown Prince killed it. Then, they heard more bell ranging sound from the fog.

A mysterious female named Ashin appears inside a house, and stands next to the undead who are kept inside wooden boxes for some nefarious purpose. The worm inside the new King moved into his brain.

The King collapsed for 10 days. The queen, who was pregnant, and her father Chief State Councillor Lord Cho Hak-ju forbidden anyone else to see the King. They decided to hide the death of the King until the Queen has produced a son. The son will be more legitimate than the Crown Prince Lee Chang, whose mother was a concubine. Crown Prince Lee Chang wanted to find out the reason behind his father illness. He sneaked into his father palace. He sees a shadowy monster through a door and smells its foul stench. However, he was discovered and escorted out of the palace by the guard. His guard Moo-Young on the other hand stole the medical journal for the King. Crown Prince Lee Chang found it weird when there was no record of the King illness for the past few days, but there listed the name of Physician Lee Seung-Hui, who was the last person who treated the King.

Physician Lee Seung-Hui brought his student to assist him to treat the King. He was terrified when he saw the King ate him. He then brought his student corps back to Jiyulheon clinic and asked others to bury him. Due to prolong starvation, one of the patients, Yeong-shin cook the corpse and served everyone. At night, everyone suddenly turned into zombies.

Seo-Bi scolded Yeong-shin in a room because she found out that he cooked the corpse as a meal for them. While both of them was arguing, they sensed something happened outside. When they opened the door, they were surprised to see human turned into monster who ate people. Seo-Bi and Yeong-shin hide inside the room. In order to prevent the monster from attacking the people, Seo-Bi and Yeong-shin sealed off the door and placed many bamboos as a prevention for the monster to escape. Seo-Bi listened to Physician Lee Seung-Hui to look for the purple flower at the Frozen valley who believed that the resurrection plant can save the people before he turned into a monster too.

To find out what happened to the King, Crown Prince Lee Chang and Moo-Young travelled to the Jiyulheon clinic in faraway Dongnae to see the physician. When they arrive, they discover that the clinic was in ruins and dead bodies are found under a building. They report the case to the magistrate. The guards took out all the corpse and placed them in the magistrate office. Crown Prince Lee Chang and Moo-Young later learned that the only person to have survived the clinic was medical staff member Seo-Bi. When they finally find Seo-Bi, she told the them that the dead they saw at the clinic were not dead and they will rise up soon to kill. Seo-Bi and Moo-Young went to the magistrate to stop them. Moo-Young also wanted to witness what Seo-Bi said was true.

The magistrate of Dongnae and nephew of Lord Cho Hak-ju, Cho Beom-pal caught Yeong-shin and believed that he has to take all the responsibility of the dead. They refused to listen to Yeong-shin that the dead will alive. Yeong-shin tried to burn the corpse but the guards stopped him. Seo-Bi also testify the same. In order to proof what they said was true, everybody waited until the sun went down. The zombies woke up and attacked the people. Everyone was trying to escape.

Crown Prince Lee Chang went to Jiyulheon clinic to look for Physician Lee Seung-Hui’s journal. he met Cho Hak-ju’s son who was waiting for him there. He was trying to attack the Prince. Suddenly, a monster from the cabinet attacked them. It was Physician Lee Seung-Hui who became a zombie. Crown Prince Lee Chang killed Physician Lee Seung-Hui’s head. He also witnessed Cho Hak-ju’s son who has been bitten by the zombie and became a zombie too. He quickly escaped the place after taking the journal. Moo-Young found the Crown Prince Lee Chang and rescued the prince from zombies.

The next morning, all the zombies hide under the house. Crown Prince Lee Chang came to the magistrate office and instructed the magistrate to burn all the corpses or cut off their head. There was also the only boat available to transport the people to another place.

The noble people reluctant to follow the prince. They choose to flee on the only boat and left the commoners and slaves there. Lord Ahn Hyeon received some news about the arrival of the ship beside the sea. He brought his men along and only saw blood bath in the ship. They could not find the corpse.

The Prince went to Sangju to seek help from Lord Ahn Hyeon, his former preceptor. Cho Beom-pal came to the Prince, Seo-bi, Moo-Young and Yeong-shin and told them what happened in the ship. It happened that one of the yangbans hide her son in the ship and killed many of them. He was the only survival from the ship. They arrived at Sangju and was curious why the people were having meat and had silk clothes. They learnt that the villagers obtained those precious items from the ship. They also buried those corpses elsewhere. The Prince asked the villagers to show him where did they buried them. The villagers brought the Prince and his comrade to the place. However, when they tried to attack the Prince, the zombies awaken and started to attack them. Lord Ahn Hyeon arrived with troops who know how to deal with the zombie crisis. Seo-bi wondered why Lord Ahn Hyeon knew how to handle the zombie as if he already knew their existed.

Lord Ahn Hyeon talked to the Prince and warned him that there was a spy among them who informed the palace to about his whereabouts. Lord Ahn Hyeon proved his saying by giving the Prince the secret letter that he received. The Prince talked to the magistrate and built their base to prepare to attack the zombie at night. They waited for them the whole night, but none of the zombie appeared. When the sun rise, everyone was happy. Suddenly, they saw many crows flied in the sky. They sensed something was going to happen.
