[Review] Saimdang, Light's Diary

It was an interesting movie which described Saimdang's love story. Although the story is off the historical of fact, still caught my attention to looking for more true story about this famous women, Saimdang, 

The storyline was really amazing and touched my heart when Saimdang sacrificed herself to marry with an ordinary guy in order to protect her lover, Lee Gyeum after accusing a great issue through painting the Goddess of Mercy with a poem on it.

Lee Gyeum expressed his love unconditionally towards Saimdang even though Saimdang already married with 4 children. He always supports and lends a helping for Saimdang whenever she faced difficult challenges. Issue of paper production market and also the portrait drawing of King have been resolved successfully with the intelligence of Lee Gyeum.

The best part of this movie is when they went to the mountain and drew the scenery together. They fulfilled their dream together as promised during their younger age. It was really heart-touching scene and it made me cry a few times. I can even feel the pain felt by Saimdang and Lee Gyeum, the poor lovers whom they couldn't be together even at the end of the movie. What a sad ending it is!

I am looking forward to the Saimdang, Light's Diary 2 as I am keen to know whether the faith of Saimdang will repeat in her future  life event. Could she be better off than her past life? Will they be a chance for them to be together? Or they would possibly face a more challenging issue?

[Review] You Mean the World to Me 海墘新路

这是本地的第一部以福建为媒介语的电影，拍摄地点以槟城为主。

整部电影反映了70-80年代的故事。它显示了母爱的伟大。无论还是是健全还是缺陷，母亲总是那么的慈祥、呵护着每一个孩子。就像妈妈疼爱精神病患的Ah boy。因为家庭沦落，Ah boy没有办法去英国求医学系而导致精神病，但是身为母亲依然还是疼爱自己的孩子，对孩子不离不弃， 坚持照顾他。即使很多人都劝妈妈送Ah boy到精神病院，妈妈依旧舍不得把孩子送到那里去。

此外，它也表现了女性对家庭的无限付出。尽管女人有自己的理想和想要追求的梦想，为了家庭，宁愿放弃自己的梦想。姐姐就是很好的例子。 她原本想要到新加坡面试，却因为家庭的问题而不惜放弃了去新加坡的梦县。虽然如此，我觉得当年的社会还是存着重男轻女的现象。男人有机会去追求自己的梦想而女人却得牺牲自己的梦想。Sunny长大之后到KL做工，实现自己的梦想， 而姐姐则留在家里照顾家人直到家人去世。

电影给我的启发：

1. 孝顺家人要趁早，珍惜与家人相处的美好时光
2. 懂得放下过去，正面地面对问题
3. 社会关怀，人人有责
4. 时时警惕自己，何况提防家人
5. 有难同当的知己值得一交
6. 家是永远的避风港

整个故事情节有点混乱，因为他穿插了现在的故事和以前的故事， 让观众对于这个电影有所不解。希望导演接下来的电影可以编排得比较有次序， 这样观众才能够欣赏以及了解整个故事情节。

[人生点滴] 陌生人与我的对话之一

我在旅行社做工近3个月了。每天早上我都是负责去postbox拿报纸、信件等。偶尔我会遇到在我公司隔壁的印尼员工。我们见面都回答个招呼。

星期六我来做工的时候也遇到了她，于是跟他聊了起来。我很好奇就问她是否每天都要上班。她说她天天都做工，没有像其他人有1天的休息日。不过，她说老板对她们很好，竟然老板没有跟他们计较，她们也没有跟老板计较那么多。那位印尼员工便述说老板如何善待他们，他们在那里工作的心得等等。

这让我体会到一点就是一个公司如何成长、如何保留那些员工是看老板的价值观和行动而定的。比如，就算员工忘记了自己的生日，但是老板却常常会记得他们每个员工的生日，并且还亲身下厨做蛋糕给他们或者请大家到餐厅一起用餐，这对员工来说是件挺幸福的事，因为这显示了老板十分关心每个员工。另外，无论老板去外国公干还是旅行，也决对不忘记带礼物给他们。身为公司的员工自然而然也会很开心地在那里做工， 因为老板从来没有忘记他们的贡献还时时关心他们的健康。据她说老板时不时还搅果汁给他们喝。老板每天还与他们一起用餐，以促进老板与员工的感情。

我认为他是个很成功的老板，因为他的举动感动到他的员工。员工也很乐意地为他服务、愿意长时期保留在公司。也因为老板为人好，员工做得开心。当他们到外面告诉别人也会感到很自豪。

如何去appreciate/reward 员工的贡献、如何去挽留公司的人才、如何制造健康的工作环境，是每个主管、上司、老板应该去学习的地方。很多时候说起来容易，做起来难。要建立老板与员工的信任与关系并不是一天两天的事，而是需要长时间的学习、培养才能达到这样的效果。
