Arisu, Usagi, Kuina and Chishiya were heading to the next stage. They have no idea what was going to happen next. Usagi suddenly heard a sound from far. A few minutes later, there were a lot of people came out and some of them riding cars. Those people are beach people.

Suddenly, there was some gun shots from nowhere. Many people died because of the shot. Everyone kept running in order to save their lives. Everyone has part ways to different direction. Arisu, Usagi, Kuina and Tatta hide inside the building at the moment. Although everyone wanted to go back to their own world, Usagi refused to. She expressed to Arisu that she hated her world. She witnessed how the people did to her father and so her father passed away. Arisu tried to convince her, but she refused. The next morning, Arisu monitored the environment and planned for their next game. They agreed to go to the furthest game that near to the port. Arisu wanted to find out more answers.

When they reached to the destination, they met Niragi. They thought he died long time ago. Because the game required 5 players. They have no choice but to join the game. During the game, Arisu’s team lost a few thousand points to the King of Clubs. There was not much time left. Arisu and his teammate nearly gave up of the game. However, Usagi refused to give up just like this. She continued to find the items so that they got the chance to survive. Usagi managed to find one item and their points up a lot. It was just 500 points behind the King of Clubs. It gave Arisu hope that they still have winning chance. He decided to attack the opponent’s base to earn as much point as possible before time up.

Usagi has been beaten up by Niragi. Niragi tried to assault her. Luckily, Arisu came to rescue her. Tatta did not want to lose the game. He decided to sacrifice him. Arisu worried about him. Tatta told him his intention. He broke his hand so that Arisu can gain more point to beat Kyuma. Arisu came to Kyuma. He asked him whether they were able to go back to their world after winning all the games. Kyuma did not give him the answer. Kyuma was surprised when he shook hand with Arisu. In the end, Arisu’s team won the game. Kyuma has no regret and he enjoyed the game as well. His teammates also did not resent him for losing the game.

Chishiya was playing a game in the prison. It involved trust and betray. They need to guess the symbol behind their necklace. Chishiya was observant. In the end, he managed to find the Jack of Heart. He successfully completed the game.

Kuina worried about Chishiya and An. She decided to look for them. Arisu and Usagi were run out of food. They decided to hunt some food for their dinner. However, they failed to catch a rabbit. They came to a desserted area. There were many people die. Arisu found a film and decided to played it. the owner of the film was a photographer. He decided to record everything happened in this world. Arisu and Usagi was surprised when he interviewed An. An said that this place changes quickly. Some of the things here get corroded faster. She wanted to go outside of Tokyo to see how other place looked like. This photographer came to a place where many people was survived here. While he was interviewing a woman who going to tell about what happened during the day when they first saw the fireworks, that woman got a shot from King of Spade. King of Spade killed everyone there. The film ended this way.

Suddenly, King of Spade arrived and attacked Arisu and Usagi. Arisu and Usagi ran into the forest. They nearly got shot by King of Spade. However, they went separate ways in order to save themselves. Arisu was saved by Heiya and Aguni. Arisu was worried about Usagi. He wanted to look for her. However, he has been stopped by Heiya and Aguni who asked him to continue to move forward before the King of Spade hunt them. Aguni’s plan was to set a trap for the King of Spade so that he can take down him. Unfortunately, the King of Spade attacked them. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. They managed to hid from him. Heiya treated Aguni’s wound. Arisu was fell from the cliff. He came to the city with abandoned buildings. He tried to find Usagi there.

 On the other hand, Usagi came to a house to look for food. Coincidently, she met a woman and a child. The woman told her that the visa of the child was going to end soon. She worried about him, so she accompanied him.

An was moving her way to another city. She went into the forest with a map and compass. However, the compass became not working. An made a mark on the tree so that she can find her way out of the forest. She was shocked when she climbed up the mountain and saw all the mountains in the other side.

Usagi and little boy joined the battle of Queen of spade. She was surprised to meet Arisu there. They hugged each other. The rule of the game is there will be Queen team and challenger team. Those team who get the most number will win the game. The Queen team get the most number. Challenger team only left 3 persons. Arisu and Usagi persuaded those people to side them so that they can win the game. In the end, they won the game with majority people. Queen of Spade did not tell Arisu whether they were able to go back to their own world. She jumped off freely and got shot by the laser from the sky.

Chishiya played the game against King of Diamond. The game took place in the supreme court. The King of Diamond decided to give the chance to Chishiya. He realised that he can choose to live with his ideal rather than choose one lives over another.

Chishiya met Arisu at the abandoned building. They had a small chat before Niragi showed up. He started to shoot people. He tried to shoot Usagi. However, Chishiya covered for her. Arisu shot Niragi at the same time. Both Niragi and Chishiya were hurt. Suddenly, the King of Spade showed up. Usagi and Arisu hid them beside the car. He attacked everyone with his gun. An and Kuina completed other games together. They also joined the same game as well. During the attack, Heiya and Aguni also joined them.

Arisu had a plan. He discussed with them to held a trap to King of Spade. Unfortunately, their plan failed. All his comrades were badly injured.  Luckily, Aguni pushed the King of Spade into the trap and brought Arisu escaped from the building. They managed to bomb the whole building. In the end, the King of Spade surrendered. He gave a gun to Aguni to shot him in order to end the game.

Arisu and Usagi joined the final game, The Queen of Heart. The Queen of Heart tricked Arisu’s psychology in order to make him give up on the game. However, Usagi managed to make him change his mind. They eventually completed all the games. The Queen of Heart told him that he will be given two options. No matter which option he chose, he will be able to find the answer by himself. The game gives all the survivors a choice. They either chose to become the resident of the game or leave the game. Arisu and his friends refused to become the resident.

Afterall, all of them returned to their reality world. After the moment when they saw the fireworks, there was a huge nuclear attack Shibuya city. Many people passed away. Only a few survivors survived in this accident. Arisu and his friends woke up in the hospital. He was glad that he was still survived. They saw familiar faces in the hospital, but they did not recognise one another. In the garden, there was a jocker card on the table.

3 years later, Jang Uk hunted soul shifters to spend his lonely days. He was reborn due to the ice stone within him. However, he has difficulty in sleeping due to the ghosts surrounded him. Therefore, he has to drink a strong liquor in order to keep himself warm. Everyone tries to avoid him because they think that he was like a monster. They also feel the cold and darkness surrounding him. Go Won gives him rewards and pays a visit to him whenever he successfully killed a soul shifter. Go Won felt uncomfortable when he met Jang Uk. Jang Uk just did what Go Won wanted him to be.

One evening, Jang Uk chased a soul shifter running rampant into Jinyowon. He killed the soul shifter and coincidently entered a secret room. He met Naksu there. He thought she was an imprisoned Jinyowon priestess. Naksu is kept hidden in a secret room for the past 3 years. She tried to escape from the room a couple of times, but they always find her with the bracelet on her hand wrist. She asked Jang Uk for help so that she can go for outing. She told him that she was supposed to die 3 years ago. She was guilty for being existing in this world. Jang Uk felt the same and he decided to help her. She is also able to see the ice stone in his body. However, she refused to tell him who she was.

Jin family leader, Jin Ho-Gyeong arranged a wedding for Naksu to Seo Yoon-O, Seo Yul’s cousin. According to Jin Ho-Gyeong, Naksu will have to stay in same room for the rest of her life. Naksu did not want to spend her whole life in this room. She planned to meet her future husband and asked him to help her escape.

Seo Yul and Seo Yoon-O travelled back to Daeho for the wedding. Naksu escaped from her room to see her future husband at Chwiseonru. While she was avoiding the Jinyowon guards, she met Jang Uk once again. He also helped her before she got caught by Jinyowon’s guards. Naksu expressed that she wanted to find a husband who can help her to escape from Jinyowon. She asked him to marry her. Jang Uk refused that offer.

Jang Uk, Seo Yul, Park Dang-Gu and Park Jin finally have a chance to gather together. Park Dang-Gu becomes the businessman and runs his business well. He and Jin Cho-Yeon did not manage to get marry 3 years ago. Park Jin also stepped down from his position and started to his new hobby, which is cooking. Seo Yul claimed that he was embarrassed to face them ever since the incident. Park Jin worried about Jang Uk’s condition. Jang Uk expressed that he was unable to handle anymore. He wished the ice stone within him can be taken out. Park Jin told him that even if the ice stone being taken out, his wounded heart cannot be cured as well. Park Jin told him to continue to live and move on. When Jang Uk asked about the wedding in Jinyowon, Park Jin thought Jin Cho-Yeon was going to marry with Seo Yul.

On the wedding day, Naksu has been waiting for Jang Uk to save her. When she almost gave up, Jang Uk kidnapped Naksu from her wedding. She was happy to see him and hugged him tightly. Jang Uk expressed that he saved her because he needed her divine power. He brought her to his house. He introduced her to Maidservant Kim as his bride-to-be. At night, Jang Uk tested her divine power with the lamp brought from Jinyowon. He asked her to make the light turned off. Naksu honestly told him that she has loss her power as well as her memory. Jang Uk asked her to leave his house the next morning. He also cut off the bracelet on her hand so that Jin Ho-Gyeong cannot find her.

While Naksu was on her way to leave the house, she sensed a bad energy from someone by passed her. She followed the man who entered Jang Uk’s house. She found him and asked him to leave. However, the soul shifter attacked her. Luckily, Jang Uk came in rescue. He also took care of her for the whole night.

Maidservant Kim was surprised that Jang Uk going to marry a woman. She could not believe it. When she asked Naksu, she even surprised that Naksu did not know anything about him. She told Park Jin about it.

As Naksu was missing, Jin family has been searching for her. They thought Park Dang-Gu kidnapped her. They went to Songrim to look for Naksu. Park Dang-Gu denied that straight away as he was accompanied by Seo Yul. In order to help Jin Cho-Yeon to find her sister, Park Dang-Gu posted Naksu’s portrait everywhere in the city.

Heo Yun-Ok came Jang Uk’s house to visit him. She was surprised to meet Naksu here. Naksu was even shocked when she knew her name. She thought Seo Yul would be the one who was searching for her. She packed all her stuffs and came to Chwiseonru to meet Seo Yul. Seo Yul never thought that she will come to look for him by herself. She asked Seo Yul to break their engagement. Seo Yul claimed that he will inform his uncle about it. While she was leaving, Jinyowon’s guards arrived. They came to bring her back to Jinyowon.

At Jinyowon, Jin Ho-Gyeong sew a thread on her shoulder to monitor her whereabouts. Jin Mu saw the portrait of Naksu. He recognized that it was Naksu’s face. In order to confirm the matter, he asked Jin Ho-Gyeong to select Naksu as her next heir during the Unanimous Assemble. Jin Ho-Gyeong told Naksu to attend the Unanimous Assemble and announced that she was the next heir. She also made her promised that she will never leave her room again.

In the past three years, with of the help of Master Lee Cheol, Naksu’s soul has been retrieved and Naksu’s soul has been removed. Although the body belonged to Naksu, the soul inside the body is belonged to Naksu. As Naksu’s soul took over the body, Naksu’s face became Naksu. When Naksu recovered, she lost her power and memory. Jin Ho-Gyeong made her believe that she was Naksu and confined her for the past 3 years. Jin Ho-Gyeong refused to listen to Master Lee Cheol’s advice to tell Jang Uk about her existence so that Jang Uk can protect her.

Park Jin knew about the existence of Naksu and asked Jang Uk to re-consider his decision. He believed that Jang Uk wanted her to take out the ice stone from his body. Jang Uk told him that she has already left his house. When he went to his study room, he realized that the light in the lamp has turned off.

During the Unanimous Assemble, Jang Uk brought the lamp and confronted with Naksu. He told her that if she managed to turn off the light, he will take her out from there. Initially, she did not know how to do it. She accidentally touched his hand and the light turned off by itself. Jang Uk then announced that they were married and asked for everyone’s blessings. Everybody was shocked to hear that news. Jin Ho-Gyeong could not believe it and she did not approve it either. Jin Mu asked for witness to proof that they were actually married. Naksu claimed that she was carry a baby. Everyone was shocked and asked Heo Yeom to examine her. Heo Yeom said that he can only examine her after 21 days since they intimated. Jang Uk did not answer Heo Yeom and he was also angry towards Naksu for claiming that she had a baby. After the Unanimous Assemble, Jang Uk brought Naksu home.

Naksu was really happy that she finally escaped from her mother. She wondered how she managed to turn off the light. She tried to make the light turn on again but she could not. She saw a sword on the table. It was belonged to Naksu but Jang Uk used it to kill the Soul Shifter. She touched the sword and saw a flashback of Naksu holding the sword. She accidentally touched the lamp and it lighted up. Jang Uk witnessed it and he was happy that she has gained her memory and power. Naksu asked why Jang Uk was angry just now. He expressed that he was not expect that she said she carried a baby. Naksu said she was desired and kissed him. Jang Uk did not push her away. Naksu told him to pretend that they had a baby through kissing.

Suddenly, Naksu experienced a sharp pain on her shoulder. Jang Uk thought that she was pretending. When he saw a thread on her shoulder, he realized that she was not pretending. Naksu explained that her mother it was a thread detector. She told him that she will endure the pain. Although Jang Uk was acting cold in front of her, he came to Jinyowon and destroyed the relic to stop her pain. He returned to his house and watched her lying on her bed.

Naksu woke up in the middle of the night. She wanted to tell Jang Uk that she was alright. However, she heard the conversation between Jang Uk and Maidservant Kim. Maidservant Kim asked him to let go of Naksu and accept a new relationship. She also convinced him to throw away the yin yang jade and accept the fact that Mu-deok has death. Jang Uk did not want to as he did not see her death body. He kept the yin yang jade so that he knew Mu-deok was no longer alive. When she mentioned that she wanted to hold a proper wedding ceremony for him, Jang Uk expressed that he wanted to see her married with Park Jin instead.

Jin Mu wanted to find out more about Naksu. He asked So Yi to bring her to Cheonbugwon secretly. He wanted to summon the soul of Naksu inside her.

The next day, Naksu met up with Park Jin, Park Dang-Gu and Heo Yeom. She apologized that she lied about the pregnancy. They tested her divine power. No doubt she was powerful that she can sensed energy even from far. While she was on her way home, Park Dang-Gu told Naksu about what had happened in Jinyowon last night. She was surprised that Jang Uk saved her. According to Park Dang-Gu, Jang Uk spent his time in the deep forest. He built the grave of soul shifters for every soul shifter he killed. However, there she did not find him but a particular stone mountain caught her eyes which belonged to Naksu. Standing in front of the stone, memories soon rush into her mind as the stones of the grave started falling and revealed a blue jade egg inside. She took the egg with her and thought about asking Jin Cho-yeon about it.

While Naksu on the way to go home, So Yi began her plan to snatch her jade egg and lure her to Cheonbugwon. However, things did not go as planned, Naksu sensed the blue egg jade energy with So Yi and followed her to gambling den owned by her. So-Yi noticed her and felt strange about it. So-Yi attacked her with soporific to get her unconscious and locked her in the room. She planned to take her to Cheonbugwon right after Naksu became unconscious.

Seo Yul  came to Gaema village’s gambling den to look for So Yi. Over the years, So Yi has been giving him the medicine. He wanted to find out what was happened to his body. Eventually, Seo Yul ended up meeting with Naksu who has dunked herself underwater to save herself from the soporific. Seo Yul escorted her out from Gaema village. However, he circled the same path as he lost direction. As they talked and laughed, Seo Yul agreed to be part of the foolish duo with her. So-Yi came to Jin Mu and told him that she failed the assignment as Naksu can see energy. Jin Mu confirmed that her identity that she was Naksu.

The Queen was angry with her current look. She took out her angry towards the court ladies. Jin Mu showed up and the Queen asked him about the rites that were to be held for the lake to get the energy of the sky for which they required the relics from Jinyowon. Jin Mu advised that he will distract Jang Uk by summoning Naksu’s soul on her 3^rd death anniversary. During that time, they can get Naksu to marry with Seo Yoon-O so that they can get their hand on Jinyowon.

Crown Prince heard from his eunuch that many concubines complained about the cosmetics given by the Queen dry out their skin. Crown Prince decided to investigate the case secretly. He went to the market that sold cosmetics to the royal family. He met Naksu who was trying to avoid Jinyowon’s guards. As the seller was promoting the cosmetic to Naksu, she refused to buy it as she sensed a bad energy from the shop. There was a turtle which will later be used as an ingredient for cosmetics. Naksu thought Crown Prince was a eunuch. She asked him to buy a turtle to save its life. Although the Crown Prince said he did not want to buy, he ended up buying it. His eunuch also found the evidence of cosmetics ingredients.

Jang Uk met with Park Jin. Park Jin expressed that he has been avoiding Mu-deok’s topic because he did not want to hurt him. He asked Jang Uk to face the death of Mu-deok before making his decision to end his life.

Naksu waited Jang Uk at home for a couple of days. She wanted to thank him for helping her to get rid of the relic. However, he did not return home. Heo Yun-Ok stopped by Jang Uk’s house and asked Maidservant Kim to pack Jang Uk’s things for her. Naksu thought Jang Uk has come back. She was disappointed that he had not. She only realized that he has been in Jeonjinggak. Heo Yun-Ok’s maid pointed out that he did not return home because he felt uncomfortable at home which made Naksu sad. Maidservant Kim told Heo Yun-Ok that Naksu was Jang Uk’s betrothed and she asked her no need to come here to pick up things for Jang Uk anymore. After a long thinking, Naksu decided to visit Jang Uk as she missed him. She asked Maidservant Kim that she will send his stuffs for him. She caught up with Heo Yun-Ok to go there. However, Heo Yun-Ok saw the blue jade egg in her hand. She told her that this was yin yang jade that belonged to Naksu. She told her to pour her energy into the jade and called Jang Uk so that she can understand why no one believes her when she calls herself Jang Uk’s bride. Naksu thought Naksu was Jang Uk’s enemy who stabbed at his heart. She wondered why nobody believed that she was his bride.

Naksu walked to the grave of soul shifters. In the meantime, Jang Uk returned home. Maidservant Kim asked as if he met Naksu who was on her way to visit him. Jang Uk said he did not see her. As he worried about her being caught by Jinyowon’s guards, he planned to find her. Suddenly, his yin yang jade glowed and rushed to the graves. He was disappointed when he saw Naksu here instead of Mu-deok. He was angry and asked why Naksu was doing this to him. She told him that she has gained another memory that the two of them have liked each other for a long time. She even told him the conversation between Naksu and Jang Uk. He was shocked. Naksu then explained that this could not be her memory, it must be Naksu’s memory. Perhaps it was due to her divine power, so she can read the memory of the Naksu. Jang Uk was disappointed and asked her not to summon him with this egg jade. Naksu was going to put it back at the stone tower, but the stone tower collapsed again. Jang Uk asked her to keep it instead. Naksu claimed that she did not touch it, it collapsed by its own. Jang Uk left her there. Naksu put back the stone tower until midnight. She was frustrated towards Jang Uk for not telling her ahead before they get married. She even jealous towards the stone tower. As the day get darker, Naksu walked down the forest alone. She was scared that tiger might eat her up. Suddenly, there was fireflies around and showed her the way to home. Jang Uk’s servant came by to look for her and bring her back home. She merely saw a someone walked behind her and she thought it was Jang Uk. Jang Uk was actually there to watch her from far.

Seo Yul came to Jeonjinggak. He coincidently met Jang Uk there. Seo Yul said that it was cooler here compared to outside. Jang Uk explained this is due to his ice stone which attracted wraths. Seo Yul realized that Jang Uk always drinks strong alcohol as he always felt cold. He wanted to give him a hug. However, Jang Uk did not want it. Park Dang-Gu showed up and invited them to come over to visit Park Jin. Park Jin prepared a rice cake dish for them. He told them that one of them consisted of fish sauce. However, after eating, all the rice cake consisted of honey. He taught them that they never try, they never know what was going to happen.

There was an accident happened in the middle of the night. All the men in the boat were killed except for one who managed to escape from being killed by Naksu. He swam to the jetty and asked for help. Everyone was shocked and scared that Naksu might came back again. People bought talisman who believed that it could protect their soul from being shifted with Naksu.

Naksu wondered how scary Naksu was. Ju-Wol was also buying a lot of talismans in the market. She shared with her a lot of stories about Naksu. Crown Prince came to Chwiseonru. He coincidently met Naksu. They had a small talk with one another. The Crown Prince was happy after having a conversation with her. It delighted his day. Although Naksu did not know his identity, he was not angry towards her. He even promised to bring the turtle that he bought to show it to her. Crown Prince quickly went back to the palace right after his eunuch told him that the King has summoned Jang Uk to palace.

The King ordered Jang Uk to kill Naksu to end the rumors. Jang Uk knew that Naksu was no longer exist and he don’t think there was a need to show up. However, in order to make the country peaceful, he accepted the assignment. Jang Uk stayed at Park Jin’s house. Park Jin told him that he heard rumors about Naksu was going to kill Naksu because she took away her lover. Jang Uk and Park Jin made their plan to catch the soul shifter.

Jin Mu explained to Crown Prince that he schemed with the Queen to summon Naksu and kill Naksu during the party. They planned to kill Naksu during the party, so that everyone will put a blame on Jang Uk. Their intention was to take over Jinyowon. The Queen asked for the King permission to held a party outside for the ladies.

As Ju-Wol told Naksu a lot of romance story about Jang Uk and Naksu, she was jealous after hearing that. Seo Yoon-O heard that Naksu was there and asked a servant to call her over. Seo Yul was visiting his uncle. He apologized for making a scene due to Naksu. Later, he went out to look for Naksu. He escorted her back home. Naksu sensed that he was ill and asked him to get treatment. However, he refused to. Seo Yul was shocked when Naksu said the same line as Mu-deok who praised his expensive taste. However, Mu-deok never prepared his favorite snack for him.

Due to the rumor of Naksu coming back to capital, everyone was scared to go out. Seo Yul decided to investigate the case. He wanted to meet the survivor from the boat who claimed that he saw everyone was killed by Naksu. They came to the gambling den ran by So-Yi to look for the man.

Seo Yul  finally found So-Yi at Gaema Village. So-Yi explained that she spread the rumors so that people can buy more talisman from her. She thought he took her medicine. However, Seo Yul informed her that he never took any. So-Yi was shocked and worried about him. He asked her what was inside his body. So-Yi told him that it was blood parasite. She was trying to save him by giving him the blood. She never expected that he was enduring the pain for the past 3 years. So-Yi asked why he did not kill her. Seo Yul told her that he did not blame her for saving him. He also told her that the blood parasite has entered his core energy and there was no way to get rid of it. Once his energy dried up, he will die eventually. He asked whether anybody knew about it. So-Yi confirmed that she was the only one knew it. So-Yi believed that there was a way to take out the blood parasite from his body. She went to Jinyowon to ask for it.

Naksu was invited for the party. Maidservant Kim selected a few clothes for her to attend the party. She kept her busy so that she won’t be sad about rumors. Jang Uk also came to see her. He praised her beauty and also her clothes. He also asked Maidservant Kim to clip her nails. Naksu asked as if she can tell everyone that their relationship was in good term and how caring Jang Uk treated her. Jang Uk allowed her to say that. Naksu also asked as if she can tell everyone that Jang Uk lighted up a path for her during at night so that she can go home safely, he also nodded. Naksu was really happy that Jang Uk still cared for her. She was so excited to join the party.

Master Lee Cheol found a strange material under the well which dried up the water. He noticed that this was not only one well being affected. He wondered who was behind it. One day, he came to see Heo Yeom. He told him that he has been treating Naksu for the past 3 years.

During the party, everyone was talking about Naksu for stealing Naksu’s husband. Before Jang Uk prepared a firework for his wife, Maidservant Kim asked Naksu to go behind the garden. Jang Uk was waiting for her there. He told her his plan and hoped that she was safe from being killed. As expected, a soul shifter showed up and killed Naksu on the spot. Everyone in the party was shocked. Later, Naksu showed up and announced that she was safe. Before that, Park Jin asked Jin Ho-Gyeong for help to use her Gwiseo to protect her daughter. At the same time, Jang Uk ran after the soul shifter and killed her.

Jang Uk went to the place where Naksu jumped off the cliff to end her life. He mourned for her there. He came back home and drank strong alcohol as usual. He missed Mu-deok and thought about their past memories together. Naksu worried about him. She showed up and asked him whether he was okay. Jang Uk thought that she was Mu-deok. He cried in front of her. Naksu hugged him and consoled him to sleep. As she touched his face, Jang Uk woke up and kissed her. She thought he was still dreaming and she was disappointed. Jang Uk told her that he wasn’t not dreaming. Naksu was shocked and quickly woke up. Jang Uk asked her to leave as she disturbed his sleeping. She told him that because she was beside him, the wraths were away from him and caused the environment became warmer. Jang Uk did not have a deep sleep ever since he carried the ice stone. He asked her to sleep beside him. She patted him so that he can fall asleep.

Meanwhile, Jin Cho-Yeon thanked Park Dang-Gu for giving her a gift. She also expressed that she did not give up on their relationship. Jin Ho-Gyeong was not happy that Naksu has accepted Jang-Uk as her husband. Park-Jin spoke to her plainly though, pointing out that he hopes the pair keep each other safe.

The next morning, Naksu experienced headache after getting those flash memories of Mu-deok which blend with hers. She decided to went out of the house to get some fresh air. As she was missing, Maidservant Kim sent all the servants to look for her. Jang Uk was away to meet Master Lee Cheol. Master Lee Cheol told him that he has been treating Naksu for the past 3 years. However, he did not mention that Naksu was actually Mu-deok. Jang Uk got to know that Naksu was missing after Maidservant Kim told him about it. He wondered where did she go. At the same time, he realized that he knew nothing about it.

While overlooking the village from a high vantage point, he ended up saw Naksu at the market. She was hustling at the stall. She also learned rumors about the rice stall guy cheating on his wife. She was surprised that Jang Uk was behind her. He checked her condition, and realized that she was just fine. He wondered what did she suffer from.

Jang Uk brought Naksu to the palace to meet the Queen. He told her to follow his instruction by looking at him lovingly as if they were madly in love. And also made up an excuse when he touched her hand. Jang Uk offered to grant her desperate wish by shifting her soul using ice stone. However, he discovered that she wanted to use Jinyowon to summon Naksu and hinder him. He gave her a warning that he will do as he please if she ever touched Naksu again.

Naksu walked around the palace and saw the servant transporting a turtle. She asked Jang Uk to warm the water. The Crown Prince found out about it and wondered why Jang Uk treated his turtle. He’s conflicted and continues to ponder just what all of this means.

Jang Uk and Naksu had a small misunderstanding. He wondered why she kept bring up the memories of him and Mu-deok. Naksu explained that she did not do it in purpose and that was how she felt. However, Jang Uk did not seem to believe her and thought it was due to the jade egg. Naksu decided to keep the jade egg in a drawer rather than carried it around.

As the situation of dried-up wells continues to occur, they decided to find the root cause of it. Park Dang-Gu will send out to the merchants’ association to see if any more fire birds have been found around the capital. As they spoke about Master Lee Cheol, Park Jin decided to cook his favorite food, Spicy beef soup. Even though everyone against the idea, Park Jin insisted to prepare the food. Park Dang-Gu puts his foot in it and talked about Master Lee Cheol and his true love, Maidservant Kim, causing Park Jin left in jealousy. He was upset and cooked the meal at the same time. When Maidservant Kim visited Park Jin, she tasted his food. It turned out that the spicy beef soup was super tasty.

Jin Ho-Gyeong visited Naksu. She wanted her daughter to come back to Jinyowon. She promised that she will let her do whatever she wanted. Naksu refused as she married Jang Uk because she wanted to. As a result, she asked her to bring Jang Uk to see her to apologize for his wrongdoings. Only then she will approve their marriage. Naksu relayed the message to Jang Uk. However, he declined it immediately. She also learnt that Master Lee Cheol asked him to go to Jinyowon to have a look whether the fire bird still kept in there. Jang Uk turned down that request as well because he did not want to get involved. Master Lee Cheol told him this: “It is better to die than do nothing.” Naksu was disappointed and decided to go alone. Jang Uk wondered why did she upset about it. He asked Maidservant Kim about her and she scolded him for not carrying his duty as a son-in-law.

Before So-Yi came to Jin Ho-Gyeong, she asked her man to relay her message to Seo Yul that she was looking for solution from Jin Ho-Gyeong to solve the blood parasite issue. Seo Yul came to Jinyowon right away. So-Yi blackmailed Jin Ho-Gyeong that she knew the real Jin Bu-Yeon and intended to tell others about it. Jin Ho-Gyeong blasted her with energy and kept her to the annex when Naksu arrived at Jinyowon.

Naksu surprised to find Jang Uk showed up together with her. He holds her hand as they eventually head in together to see Jin Ho-Gyeong. Jang Uk also requested to stay there for a night which surprised Jin Ho-Gyeong and Naksu. Naksu asked as if they were going to spend the night together, Jang Uk explained that he was here for work purposes. He wanted her to open the door of Jinyowon for him to check the fire bird.

When darkness falls, Jang Uk headed outside with Naksu. As Naksu talked about her memory of climbing up the largest tree alone and waiting for someone to save her, Jang Uk felt that it was the wish of Mu-deok. He held her hand and he felt the same feeling as to Mu-deok. He said that tree was really exist, and said “I must be going crazy because of you.” He asked as if she was retrieving the memory of the jade egg. She explained that she did not have the jade egg with her. Suddenly, Jang Uk sensed that someone has entered Jinyowon. They spotted Seo Yul. Seo Yul explained that he was trying to rescue someone here. Jang Uk distracted Jin Ho-Gyeong from poisoning So-Yi and bought time for Seo Yul to save her. He also asked Jin Ho-Gyeong to show him the fire bird in Jinyowon as requested by Master Lee Cheol.

So-Yi was excited to tell Seo Yul that there was a solution to remove the blood parasite from his body. She also revealed that the soul of Naksu is alive in the body of Naksu. Jang Uk heard from Naksu that So-Yi was rescued by Seo Yul because he was “indebted” to her and that his friend needs to handle something alone.

Meanwhile, Park Jin finally has the courage to ask Maidservant Kim to be his wife. And she accepted it. Park Dang-Gu and the other soldiers who had earlier shown up and noticed a second pair of shoes outside. They happened to be listening and immediately start cheering and applauding for them.

Jin-Mu was looking to take over Jinyowon as he was greedy for a greater power. The Crown Prince started to have a change of heart over helping this shady man. He felt guilty towards Jang Uk and Mu-deok whom he agreed to help Jin Mu to get rid of Jang Uk over his jealousy. Jin-Mu blackmailed the Crown Prince for his past wrongdoings. Jin-Mu also appointed Seo Yoon-O to transport all the fake fire bird to capital.

While So-Yi received treatment from Heo Yun-Ok, Seo Yul hugged Naksu as he finally recognized his former lover. When Naksu asked as if he was unwell and wanted to tell Jang Uk about his condition, he stopped her. he asked her to keep this secret from Jang Uk. Jang Uk was jealous over Naksu and Seo Yul friendship. He did not know that they were that close until Naksu told him that they met a few times and also knew that he lost his sense of direction when he was fluttered.

So-Yi promised Seo Yul that she will not tell anyone about Naksu as Seo Yul’s life was depends on it. She urged Seo Yul to get help from Jinyowon as soon as possible. However, Seo Yul decided not to and wanted to conceal everything from Jang Uk because he did not want him to go through any more struggle.

When Seo Yul has another nightmare related to Naksu, So-Yi points out they could be connected to the bird whistle that he carried. She believed that the item showed how much he cared about the Naksu.

On the other hand, Maidservant Kim told Jang Uk about her engagement with Park Jin and received an emotional congratulations from him. As Park Jin ordered all items arriving from the southern volcano to be inspected, Seo Yoon-O was panic and ordered his men to dispose all the firebirds in Lake Gyeongcheondaeho. Concurrently, Jang Uk told Master Lee that people are coveting the fire bird. And the real firebird was safely kept in Jinyowon.

At the same time, the Jin-Mu informed the royal family that Cheonbugwan will gather the Unanimous Assembly for earlier conduction of the “lake’s rite.” He also tried to send Jang Uk far away by appointing him as the general of the North Fortress so that Cheonbugwan mages can run the capital.

Meanwhile, Jang Uk considered whether it’d be right to use his powers to “protect the world” when he couldn’t safeguard Naksu. After Jang Uk was reborn, Park Jin revealed the truth about his real identity. Jang Uk now aware that he was born under the King’s star, but he appeared hesitant to do anything about it, given that Park Jin’s vow to stop him from causing chaos to the world.

Naksu helped Park Jin to find fire bird copies and talked candidly with him about her energy-seeing powers. While she was on the boat, she rediscovered another of Naksu’s memories. She dangled from a bridge and wondered why did she do that in the past. She coincidentally met the Crown Prince. Both of them share their story about struggling relationship, and the royal’s constant pretending.

When Crown Prince visited Jang Uk, he wanted to thank him for taking care of his turtle. He also came to relay the message of royal family to appoint him to be the general. Jang Uk gladly accepted it which made the Crown Prince surprised. He reminded Jang Uk his old master who once said “It is better to die than do nothing” which intend to tell Jang Uk that he is basically dead due to his lack of vigour, even if he possesses great power. He hoped that Jang Uk will do something to stop Jin-Mu.

Seo Yul was enduring his ongoing pain. He believed it gave him the chance to atone for his regrets. However, it’s revealed if blood parasite “go mad,” it will eventually kill the mage. Jin Ho-Gyeong was discussing this back at Jinyowon and it seems to divulge that birds are the antidote to the lethal insects.

As he was informed that Naksu was regaining her divine powers, Master Lee Cheol was concerned. He muttered that Naksu will retrieve her old memories and will eventually be rejected by that body. Meanwhile, Jang Uk shared warm recollections of his time under Naksu’s tutelage when Naksu showed him her newly acquired Songrim spirit plaque. Jang Uk found himself startled when Naksu’s words and action strike resemblance to his former master. She comforted Jang Uk and promised that she will protect with her power. She also pledged to find out who she truly was.

Jin Mu was angry when Seo Yoon-O disposed all his fire birds and requested So-Yi to in charge of importing goods. Seo Yul arranged to send So-Yi out of Daeho. However, she decided to return to check as if Seo Yul had departed for Jinyowon. Subsequently, So-Yi has been attacked by Jin Mu’s men as she was ready to leave Daeho.  Jin Mu’s men discovered that So-Yi has remove the blood parasite from her body.

Seo Yul determined dissolves his bird whistle and prepared to confront Naksu. Naksu asked Park Dang-Gu as she would like to travel to Danhyanggok, to see the big tree from her memories. However, Park Dang-Gu wasn’t free at that time. Coincidentally, Seo Yul actually caught the tail-end of this discussion, so he agreed to travel alongside her. Jang Uk entered Naksu’s room to check whether she actually kept the jade egg in her room. Naksu saw him and asked what was he doing there. When he mentioned about the jade egg, Naksu showed him that the jade egg was inside the drawer. She told Jang Uk that she was going to see the big tree with Seo Yul. Jang Uk was jealous as he did not want him to be friend with his friend. When she asked why, he said that how can someone who pat him and hug him to sleep to be just friend. Both of them was startled for a while. Then, Jang Uk quickly left her room and allowed her to go with Seo Yul.

After vividly daydreaming about killing Naksu, Seo Yul decided to correct his past mistake this time. He visited Master Heo. Heo Yeom noticed that he wasn’t look well and wanted to examine him. Seo Yul turned down the offer and told him that he has elsewhere to go. Heo Yeom wished him good health.

Seo Yul and Naksu was on their way to Naksu Suddenly, So-Yi’s man told Seo Yul that she was in danger. Seo Yul changed his plan and went to So-Yi’s gambling den. In the meantime, Naksu informed Jang Uk about Seo Yul’s blood parasite and he was very unwell at this moment.

Seo Yul arrived at the gambling den, and fought with the Cheonbugwan mages in order to rescue So-Yi. Due to blood parasite consumed a lot of his energy after fighting intensively with Cheonbugwan mages, Jin Mu’s men discovered that the blood parasite was now inside Seo Yul’s body. When they tried to attack Seo Yul, So-Yi used her last breath to stab on the Cheonbugwan mages. However, they blasted her right away. Seo Yul witnessed the death of So-Yi. When Cheonbugwan mages going to attack Seo Yul once again, Jang Uk stepped in right in time. He worried about Seo Yul’s condition. Seo Yul apologised to him and fainted. Jang Uk killed all Cheonbugwan mages.

Seo Yul was sent for treatment. Heo Yeom examined his body and discovered the blood parasite in his core and he was dying soon. In order to get rid of the blood parasite, Jang Uk visited Jin Ho-Gyeong to ask for a solution to rescue his friend. However, Jin Ho-Gyeong refused to help him. He then headed to Cheonbugwan and made a scene there. Jin Mu thought he was going to kill him. He was so afraid of him and gathered other mages to protect him. On the other hand, the King also concerned about Seo Yul’s life as his father might cause trouble to them. Crown Prince stepped up and offered to help Seo Yul. He talked to Jin Mu to find a solution to save Seo Yul. Jin Mu did not know how to get rid of the blood parasite. He came to Jin Ho-Gyeong and persuaded her to save Seo Yul. Jang Uk waited for them in front of Cheonbugwan. He asked Jin Ho-Gyeong why she changed her mind to save Seo Yul. Jin Ho-Gyeong invited him to come over Jinyowon to have a talk. She told him the solution to save Seo Yul with one condition which was Jang Uk has to send Naksu back to her. Jang Uk has no other choice but to comply with her condition.

With the help of Crown Prince, Seo Yul was saved. Right after he awake, he was worried about So-Yi. He was told that So-Yi has passed away. Naksu knew that Jang Uk was going to send her back to Jinyowon. She was pissed off and felt that he was going to abandon her. Both of them has a small argument. Naksu left Jang Uk angrily. Jang Uk asked Maidservant Kim whether she has come back. Unfortunately, she did not. Jang Uk thought that she went back home by herself. At night, Jang Uk kept missing her and thinking about her. He wanted to visit her.

Naksu has been staying at Sejukwon to look after Seo Yul. She apologized to Seo Yul for helping him to keep his secret about his life-threatening condition. Seo Yul mentioned about a friend that he used to cherish. He also wanted to stop Naksu and Jang Uk from hurting one another. Naksu recalled some remember related to Seo Yul when she touched his body. She asked as if they met before. However, Seo Yul harsh words chased her away. Naksu refused to look for the big tree as she did not want to recall her past.

Jin Cho-Yeon was going to escort Naksu to come back to Jinyowon. Naksu forgot to bring her plaque along. She went to Jeonjinggak to take it. She coincidently met Jang Uk there. Jang Uk explained to her why he has to send her back. At the same time, he also missed her. He confessed his feeling for her. Then, both of them kissed each other passionately.

Everyone thought that Jang Uk and Naksu were going to part way. What they noticed was that both of them has no intimacy relationship. In fact, Jang Uk and Naksu were deeply in love with one other. Jang Uk promised her that he will visit her from time to time. He also expressed that he did not want to make her mother angry as well. He wanted to hold a proper wedding with her.

Master Lee Cheol has been treating Seo Yul. Seo Yul asked him about Naksu. He wanted to know her true identity. Master Lee Cheol admitted that there were two souls living in Naksu’s body. However, once Naksu regained her memory, Naksu will going to retrieve her body. Naksu’s soul will be disappeared soon. Seo Yul was heart-broken. Master Lee Cheol claimed that he was not allowed to tell Jang Uk about Naksu. He also worried that Jang Uk might use his power to remove Naksu’s soul.  After hearing that, Seo Yul decided to keep this secret and hope that she can spend her remaining time with her loved one.

Seo Yul heard the news about Naksu was going to send back to Jinyowon. He decided to persuade Jin Ho-Gyeong to let her stay with Jang Uk for the time being. He also explained to her about what Master Lee Cheol has told him. Since So-Yi has no other relative, Seo Yul prepared a proper funeral for her.

Jin Mu also released the turtle. He wanted to make up of Crown Prince against Jang Uk. Jin Mu showed the Crown Prince the King’s star of Jang Uk. He also told him that he was the son of the late king who performed alchemy of soul with Jang Uk’s father. He claimed that Jang Uk can replaced him anytime. In order not to cause danger to the royal family, he convinced the Crown Prince to send him to the Northern. Before Jang Uk has been summoned to palace, he met the Crown Prince. He noticed that the Crown Prince already knew his true identity, but he decided to go to Northern as assigned by the royal family.  

Jang Uk was changing his clothes as he was going to the palace. Naksu came in and saw a scar on his body. She wondered if it was the sword that stabbed on him. Jang Uk comforted her and told her that he was going out for the while. He asked her to stay at home and wait for him. Naksu was surprised as Jang Uk never did that before. Naksu promised that she will wait for him at home.

Heo Yun-Ok read the letter left by Seo Yul in his luggage. She found out who Naksu really was. She also overheard the conversation between Seo Yul and Naksu. She was extremely angry and wanted to make her remember her past. She looked for the medicine to make the soul shifter scars appear. Heo Yun-Ok invited Naksu to meet her at the graveyard. She spilled the medicine on her body. Seo Yul was on his way to look for Heo Yun-Ok. He learnt that she was meeting with Naksu. He came and stopped Heo Yun-Ok. He explained to her that Naksu’s soul was going to disappear soon.

Naksu washed off the medicine. She saw the blue marks on her eyes. Suddenly, her memories came back. She realized that she was Naksu who was living in Naksu’s body. In order to confirm the fact, she went to the see the big tree. She met Naksu’s soul. Naksu told her that she has gain most of her divine power and Naksu was going to disappear without sadness.

Jang Uk came back home. He did not see Naksu anywhere. He wondered if she went to see the big tree by herself. He was waiting for her at home. After she came back from the big tree, she stopped by Chwiseonru. Seo Yul saw her from far. He sent someone to tell Jang Uk about her whereabout. Naksu cried as all her memories came back. She did not know how to face Jang Uk. Jang Uk came to Chwiseonru and wanted to bring her home. She told him that she went to see the big tree and she has regained all her memories. She told him about a man that she loved more than he loved her. She also could not tell Jang Uk that she was Naksu. She decided to leave him and went back to Jinyowon alone.

Jin Ho-Gyeong and Jin Cho-Yeon were surprised that Naksu has come back. However, Naksu decided to stay at the secret room. Jang Uk did not manage to tell her that he was going to Northern tomorrow. He came to Jinyowon and requested to visit her. Jin Cho-Yeon replied on behalf of Naksu that she refused to meet him and she already knew that he was leaving to Northern. Jang Uk just told her that he will be back soon and left. Naksu watched from far and went back to her room. She was shocked to see Jang Uk at her room. Jang Uk asked as if the man that she loved look alike with him. He also wondered who that person was. He expressed that he could not let go of her. After he left, Naksu cried.

Jin Mu summoned Jin Ho-Gyeong to Cheonbugwan to discuss about the rain ritual event. Jin Mu informed her that she has no other heir who can performed the ritual and that he appointed other clan to take over her place. Jin Ho-Gyeong was frustrated as the rain ritually was usually performed by her. She decided to go against the royal command and asked her daughter to bring the king plaque from Jinyowon. Naksu offered herself to bring the plaque to her mother. While she was on her way to meet her mother, she saw the turtle outside the door. It was the turtle that rescued by the Crown Prince. She brought the turtle together with her. The turtle possessed good energy that will show the right path. Jin Mu wanted to test Naksu’s divine power. He gave her an assignment to find the plaque inside Gwido. It was believed that there were many wraths have been living inside. There was a case whereby other mages who passed away in there too. Before she entered, she told Jin Ho-Gyeong to believe in her real Jin Bu-Yeon’s divine power.

Naksu walked in together with turtle. She did not know where to find the plaque in this big area. With the help of the turtle, it showed her the way to look for it. She went into forest and saw an ice stone in a corpse. Suddenly, a wrath showed up and tried to attack her. As she was in danger, the yin yang jade summoned Jang Uk. Jang Uk came and rescued her. He saw the blue marks on her eyes. He asked who she was. Naksu did not tell him directly who she was. She just admitted that she was a soul shifter.

Crown Prince and Jang Uk has been working together to get rid of Jin Mu, just because Jin Mu threw his turtle. Jang Uk comforted him for losing his turtle. He has gained Jin Mu trust for attaining more and more power by helping him to success his plan. However, Jin Mu never thought that Crown Prince has deceived him. Crown Prince asked Jang Uk to leave to Northern region as assigned by the King. In fact, he was hiding at So-Yi gambling den. Jang Uk told the Crown Prince about his relationship with his wife. Suddenly, Jang Uk’s red jade was sparkling. He knew that Naksu was in danger. He wanted to enter Gwido. The Crown Prince suddenly saw the turtle that he used to care for and Gwido was appeared in front of them. Both of them entered and rescued her.

Naksu knew that Jin Bu-Yeon was the one who summoned Jang Uk to rescue her. They saw an ice stone inside Gwido. Naksu told them that this ice stone was empty. It was used to drain the energy of a human so that they will run wild just like soul shifter. Crown Prince expressed his pain and regret towards the death of Naksu. Naksu comforted him and asked him to let go of her. Jang Uk wondered if she was Naksu. However, he decided to finish his assignment before they discussed about their relationship. They planned to kill all the soul shifters of Jin Mu and also bring him to Gwido. Jang Uk managed to kill all the soul shifters and released Jin Mu. On the other hand, Naksu lured him to Gwido with an ice stone. Jin Mu was happy when he saw the ice stone and asked Naksu to put it inside his body. Naksu offered to help him. Jin Mu later realized that there was something wrong with his body. Naksu revealed her true identity and also told him about the fake ice stone. She punished him and made him die slowly in Gwido.

As Naksu was about to give up her soul as she knew that her time was almost up. Then, the turtle brought the plaque for her. She was happy and came out from Gwido. Seo Yul was waiting for her. He discovered a portion that used to control soul shifter inside So-Yi’s luggage. He told her about the possible portion that she consumed and made her go wild. Seo Yul hoped that Naksu did not blame herself for killing the innocents. Naksu felt that she has to be blamed. Jang Uk choose to feign ignorance towards Naksu and so did Naksu as well. Naksu was called to gather at the Unanimous Assembly to talked about what happened inside Gwido. Naksu explained that she put the ice stone inside Jin Mu and let him die. Other leaders wer unhappy that Jang Uk was the only one who hold the ultimate power. They asked Naksu to take it out from Jang Uk. Naksu agreed to do so. She also revealed that Jang Uk’s worng doing for releasing a soul shifter. When Jang Uk was called to the Unanimous Assembly, he was shocked that Naksu actually revealed it. He left with anger and proceed to see Naksu. He knew that she was the Naksu that he used to cherish. Both of them hugged one another.

The Queen and Seo Yoon-O went into Gwido to look for Jin Mu. They wanted to ask Jin Mu about gaining more power and also how to perform soul shifter. Jin Mu absorbed the energy of the Queen and also performed alchemy of soul with Seo Yoon-O. He used Seo Yoon-O’s body to leave Gwido. He came to the King and revealed himself. The king was fascinated with alchemy of soul and wanted to join him. 

Master Lee Cheol asked Jin Ho-Gyeong about the real identity of Jin Bu-Yeon. He believed that she was Jin Seo Ran who hide inside the ice stone. Jin Ho-Gyeong’s first child was death and Jang Uk’s father used the ice stone to perform alchemy of soul in order to bring back the baby. Jin Seo Ran who was also blind and has divine power just like Jin Bu-Yeon.

Jang Uk wanted the spend the remaining days with Nasku. They both went to see Master Lee Cheol at the hut. Master Lee Cheol wanted to hold a proper wedding for them. Both of them agreed. Naksu told Jang Uk that once she recalled the last memory, her soul was going to leave the body. She will give him a signal of holding hands.

Jin Mu requested the King to refrain the Crown Prince from leaving his quarters. The King also took back his gold plaque. Since the Crown Prince did not have the gold plaque, he was unable to mobilize the soldiers. Jin Mu gathered other mage families to Jinyowon in order to steal the fire bird.

Jin Mu harmed Jin Ho-Gyeong and threatened Jin Cho-Yeon to open the door for them. Jin Cho-Yeon has no other option, so she opened the door for them. As they took the fire bird out of Jinyowon, Jinyowon was going to collapse. Maidservant Kim asked a servant to inform Songrim about this matter. Jin Ho-Gyeong worried that other relics may escaped as well. She tried her best to protect them. She asked Maidservant Kim to bring her into Jinyowon.

Park Jin arrived at Jinyowon. It was too late for him to save Jin Ho-Gyeong and Maidservant Kim. He has to seal the door in order to prevent others relics from escaping. He went to Cheonbugwon and confronted with Jin Mu. They fought one another. Park Jin wanted to protect the barrier of fire bird. However, Jin Mu stabbed him with his sword. Park Jin collapsed on the floor.

Naksu saw from the far knew that Jinyowon was going to collapse. Jin Bu-Yeon summoned Jang Uk with the yin yang jade. She saw the future of the country. She told Jang Uk that this was what going to happen soon.  As Naksu regained all her memories, Jin Bu-Yeon appeared. Jin Bu-Yeon went to Jinyowon to rescue Jin Ho-Gyeong and Maidservant Kim.
