Nam Young came to Hanyang with his servant. He was going to take an exam for government post. They faced a few thieves who stole their money. They fought with the thieves and took back their money. He met Kang Ro-Seo at the street. She was being bullied by a gang of gangster. Nam Young stepped in to help her out. He was surprised when Kang Ro-Seo did not really behave like a woman. She fought with the gangster and got her money back from them.

Nam Young was a scholar who won the first place in the exam. He was being picked by the King personally. The King did not want the Ministers to pick their own relatives as that’s did not change the policy of the government. King has been implemented a ban on alcohol. However, some people secretly buy and sell the alcohol, made alcohol etc.

Kang Ro-Seo was a noble lady. However, she lived in a rented house with her brother. She worked several part-time jobs to earn a living. She also needed to find money to back for her brother’s debt. Her brother borrowed money from the gangster to buy the answers for the exam. Kang Ro-Seo was extremely angry towards him and wanted to have a talk with the gangster. She realised that the gangster was the one she pulled off his hair. He was very pissed off towards her. Kang Ro-Seo entered the place that offers to give out answers to the scholar. She met up with Lee Pyo. Lee Pyo was the crown prince. He offered to pay her food. Lee Pyo also made a scene there when he heard someone talked about his mother and also himself. Suddenly, the guards came by the arrest them. Everyone was rushing out from the place. Kang Ro-Seo saw a pot of money. She poured out some of the money and wanted to run away with it.

Lee Pyo stole a horse from Nam Young. He also pushed him out from his horse. Nam Young accidentally hit Kang Ro-Seo. Kang Ro-Seo’s money was then spills on the floor. Everyone took the money. Kang Ro-Seo felt disappointed as she thought that she can use that money to pay back her brother’s debt.

Kang Ro-Seo wanted to earn money badly. She secretly made alcohol at her home. Nam Young was looking for a house in Hanyang. The landlord tried to inform Kang Ro-Seo about it. however, she was not at home. She found out after her brother told her about it. she quickly rushed back to stop the landlord. She was surprised to see Nam Young there too. Nam Young felt uncomfortable to stay there. He also has discrimination against gender too when he has to join Kang Ro-Seo and his brothers for the meals.

Kang Ro-Seo was selling her alcohol to a clinic. However, Nam Young caught the doctor for buying the alcohol. Kang Ro-Seo nearly caught by Nam Young. She hid herself in a small alley. She was frustrated as Nam Young has ruined her business. Han Yae-Jin stole a hairpin from a small store when Kang Ro-Seo bypassed the lane. However, Han Yae-Jin accused Kang Ro-Seo for stealing it. Kang Ro-Seo knew that she was behind that, she talked to her privately. Kang Ro-Seo let her found out the alcohol. She also caught her red-handed for the hairpin. Both of them decided to keep this secret for each other.

Lee Pyo wanted to make Nam Young resign. He asked his men to give troubles for him. Nam Young’s superior gave him a task. He wanted him to catch 5 sellers who sell alcohol in the market. It was a difficult task. However, Nam Young managed to catch 4 of them. The only 1 left was Kang Ro-Seo. Kang Ro-Seo made a wooden cart to deliver the alcohol. They moved the wooden cart to outskirt at night to sell the alcohol. Sonner, their business became very good. Words spread across the people. Merchant Sim wanted to monopoly the alcohol market. He also heard about the alcohol made by Kang Ro-Seo. He was looking for her too. As the inspector was catching the alcohol seller, Lee Pyo helped Kang Ro-Seo and Cheon-Geum to escape from them. Lee Pyo also bought some alcohol from them. They promised to meet up during the Buddha’s birthday to enjoy the alcohol together.   

In order to get accepted by his superior, Nam Young have to catch Kang Ro-Seo. He nearly caught her, but she managed to escape from him. He kept chasing her. He then accidentally fell down and discovered the storage of alcohol underneath the land. The next morning, he and his subordinates eliminated those alcohol into the river. Because of his contribution, the King was amazed by his ability. Lee Pyo was really unhappy with it. He scolded Nam Young’s superior for failing to make him resign.

Nam Young found the eyes looked really familiar, but he could not be able to recall where did he see them. Kang Ro-Seo tried to hid from him. She decided to kick him out from the house. She prepared a separate meal for him. Nam Young has no idea why did she do that. Suddenly,             Gye Sang-Mok came to her house and demanded for money. Nam Young borrowed her his bow to shot him. Gye Sang-Mok did not make a scene there. They left after knowing that she was staying with the Nam Young.

Woon-Sim overheard from Kang Ro-Seo and Cheon-Geum that they were going to sell alcohol during the Buddha’s birthday. She purposed grabbed their attention and left the place. Kang Ro-Seo and Cheon-Geum planned to get more customers during that day. Cheon-Geum wanted to meet up with Woon-Sim, but she was not around. In fact, she has been threatened by Gye Sang-Mok. He asked her to bring her to the alcohol maker. Kang Ro-Seo, on the other hand, looking for Lee Pyo.

Lee Pyo purposely used Nam Young and Hwang So-Yoo as an excused to escape from his bodyguard. He came to see Kang Ro-Seo. Han Yae-Jin was in love with Lee Pyo whent she met him at the Buddha’s birthday. She wanted to know his name but he already left.

Nam Young walked on the street and saw a suspicious man. He chased him to a store that he used to catch the alcohol seller. He knocked the door and heard someone was talking. Kang Ro-Seo and Lee Pyo was surprised to see Nam Young in front of the door. She went out of the door and talked to him. She refused to let him in. Nam Young barged into the house, but Lee Pyo made him fainted. They tied him up and drank the alcohol together. Nam Young only then realised that Kang Ro-Seo was the one he wanted to catch. Kang Ro-Seo told him that she could not understand why the king banned alcohol. She told him about the benefits of alcohol and also how the commoner was treated unfairly. Nam Young took a deep thought about it.

Suddenly, Gye Sang-Mok brought his men and Cheon-Geum to meet Kang Ro-Seo. Lee Pyo fought with them. Later, his bodyguards also came to protect the crown prince. They killed Gye Sang-Mok’s men.  Kang Ro-Seo released Nam Young and left the place at once. Nam Young was badly hurt on his hand. Kang Ro-Seo treated his wound and took care of him for the whole night.

Lee Pyo’s bodyguards cleared up the place and made it looked like anything has happened. One of Gye Sang-Mok’s men came to see Merchant Sim and reported to him about what has happened. Merchant Sim was looking for Gye Sang-Mok everywhere, but none of them has seen him. Cheon-Geum took Gye Sang-Mok to an old temple. They tied him up so that he can kept the secret of them selling alcohol. Gye Sang-Mok also told them about someone who was going to monopoly the market of alcohol. Kang Ro-Seo wanted to tell Nam Young regarding Gye Sang-Mok’s whereabout. However, Nam, Young refused to listen to her. He also thought that Gye Sang-Mok has been killed by the crown prince and he was very unhappy that the crown prince simply killed people.

Nam Young felt guilty and ashamed to be an inspector. He reported everything to the King. The King questioned him about his action for accusing the crown prince. In the end of the meeting, the King decided to let him be the crown prince’s teacher. That was not the intention of Nam Young. He was surprised with the result. Lee Pyo was angry towards Nam Young for betraying him.

Kang Ro-Seo was on the way to give food to Gye Sang-Mok. Nam Young followed her to the temple. He was surprised to see Gye Sang-Mok was still alive. However, Gye Sang-Mok took this opportunity to escape from them. He accidentally slipped and nearly fell off the cliff. Kang Ro-Seo and Nam Young grabbed him. Unfortunately, Gye Sang-Mok was unable to grab Kang Ro-Seo and fall from the cliff.

When Kang Ro-Seo, Nam Young and Cheon-Geum reached at the bottom of the cliff, they realised that Gye Sang-Mok was badly injured but escaped. All of them started to worry that Gye Sang-Mok might revealed them to the government. In order to ensure their safety, Nam Young, Kang Ro-Seo and her brother moved to another place to stay for a short while.

The next day, Nam Young reported himself to Lee Pyo as his new teacher. Lee Pyo was really pissed off to see him. He purposely challenged him with fighting with wood sword. Nam Young was really bad at that. However, he used tricks to win the challenge. After winning the challenge, Nam Young told Lee Pyo about Gye Sang-Mok.

Gye Sang-Mok went to the kisaeng house. Woon-Sim brought him in for treatment. Woon-Sim purposely came to the physician to look for Cheon-Geum. She also pointed her to come to kisaeng house. Cheon-Geum saw Gye Sang-Mok lying on the bed. She quickly informed Kang Ro-Seo. Kang Ro-Seo did not want to cause any trouble for Nam Young anymore. She decided to dress as a physician to kill Gye Sang-Mok, so that her secret can be buried and also settled off her debts.

Woon-Sim caught her at Gye Sang-Mok’s room. She wanted to make a deal with her. She asked her to sell the top-notch alcohol for her. In return, she will pay her handsomely. Kang Ro-Seo thought about it without promising her.

Lee Pyo and Nam Young heard from Cheon-Geum that Kang Ro-Seo went to Kisaeng house alone. They worried about her safety. Therefore, Nam Young brought his subordinates under the approval of Lee Pyo to rescue Kang Ro-Seo. At last, Nam Young found her and brought her out of Kisaeng house. At night, everyone was celebrating with beef barbeque.

Woon-Sim bought an abandon bar at a cheaper price. She convinced Kang Ro-Seo that the alcohol prohibition will lift as the crown prince was an alcohol drinker. Kang Ro-Seo imagined the future of the bar and also how the business runs pretty well. She agreed to join hand with Woon-Sim. Kang Ro-Seo also told her brother not to worry about Gye Sang-Mok anymore since he has lost his memory and they have cleared all their debts with him.

Nam Young was surprised when his father came and visit him. He was told to marry with the daughter of Minister of War. Nam Young looked at Kang Ro-Seo and Kang Ro-Seo was pretty disappointed with that. Nam Young visited the Minster of War. However, he kept thinking about Kang Ro-Seo. Lee Pyo heard about the marriage arrangement by Nam Young’s father. He came to visit Kang Ro-Seo. He treated her as his alcohol buddy. Han Yae-Jin was the daughter of Minister of War. She was curious how does her future husband look like. She went outside to have a look. She was quite disappointed that he was Nam Young.

Han Yae-Jin called Nam Young at the street. Nam Young was pretty shocked as he never met the woman before. He suddenly saw Kang Ro-Seo and Lee Pyo at the street. He was jealous. Han Yae-Jin was happy to meet her prince charming. She asked for his name and where he came from.

Nam Young has moved out from the inns. He felt sorry for Kang Ro-Seo for leaving there so sudden. He stopped by the inns. Kang Ro-Seo came back home and realised that her brother and Cheon-Geum have been kidnapped. In order to chase Nam Young away, she purposely said those harsh words so that Dae-Mo and Mak-San did not kill him as well.

Dae-Mo has two sons, Mak-San and Kang San. Kang San has been murdered by Merchant Sim. Dae-Mo worried about Kang San. She went to Hanyang with Mak-San to look for Kang San. Eventually, they found blood stain besides the river. They thought Kang San fell off the cliff. Kang Ro-Seo explained everything to them, she also made a deal with them regarding making the alcohol. Dae-Mo and Mak-San brought Kang Ro-Seo to Blacksmith Village, Gwangju. They used to sell alcohol for living. After discussing the deal, they agreed to run the business together.

Merchant Sim did not want anyone to sell their alcohol in Hanyang. He came to Blacksmith Village, Gwangju to warn them. Kang San’s body has been discovered by Hanyang villagers. Nam Young found out that that body was Kang San who lived in Gwangju. He came to Gwangju to look for his family. Unfortunately, he saw Merchant Sim was attacking Dae-Mo. He rescued her. However, he was in trouble when Merchant Sim attacked him. With the help of Kang Ro-Seo, Nam Young was saved. He wondered why Kang Ro-Seo was there.

Nam Young went back to Hanyang. He went to the inns to check on Kang Ro-Seo. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see her with Lee Pyo inside the house. Lee Pyo gave Kang Ro-Seo a beautiful hanbok as payment for her alcohol. Kang Ro-Seo told Lee Pyo to keep her secret. When Nam Young asked whether does she go to Gwangju, she denied it right away. Lee Pyo was secretly in love with Kang Ro-Seo. However, he was unable to express himself freely. Lee Pyo teased Nam Young that he will be asking Kang Ro-Seo to be his crown princess rather than his concubine. Nam Young was shocked to hear that.

Kang Ro-Seo invited Dae-Mo and Woon-Sim to talk about their business. All of them agreed with the terms and conditions. Han Yae-Jin followed Kang Ro-Seo and she heard all of their conversation. Dae-Mo caught her and tried to kill her. Kang Ro-Seo stopped Dae-Mo. Kang Ro-Seo asked Han Yae-Jin a favour to help them deliver the alcohol to Woon-Sim. Han Yae-Jin stole his father’s steal in order to allow them to pass the gate.

In return, Han Yae-Jin wanted Kang Ro-Seo to pass a letter to Lee Pyo. Nam Young saw both of them chatting with one another. Han Yae-Jin told Nam Young that she wanted him to cancel their engagement since both of them did not love each other. Nam Young expressed that it was not under his control.

Nam Young wanted to find out the murderer who killed his parents. He saw the similar cut on the hand of Merchant Sim. However, he could not recognize him since his face was covered. Nam Young was jealous when he heard Lee Pyo was going to meet Kang Ro-Seo. He purposely stopped by his chamber and talked about work. He requested his approval to investigate the case secretly. Lee Pyo approved his request.

Lee Pyo’s uncle scolded him for being away from his duty as a crown prince. He has been instructed to stay at the palace for the time being. The queen has heard the rumours about Lee Pyo seeing someone outside the palace. Lee Pyo intended to bring Kang Ro-Seo to the palace as his crown princess. Nam Young was jealous when Lee Pyo said so.

Kang Ro-Seo told Nam Young that the letter wasn’t from her. She was just passing to letter to Lee Pyo. Nam Young felt relieved to hear that. Lee Pyo thought that the letter was actually from Kang Ro-Seo. When he went for a date, he realised that she was Han Yae-Jin. Lee Pyo rejected her love and left. Han Yae-Jin was really upset and she could not even eat well.

Han Yae-Jin stole a few steals from her father in order to allow Kang Ro-Seo and her partner to bypass the gate. Unfortunately, the guards found out that there was someone who misused Minister of Wars’ steal to pretend to be sending the weapon to them. Han Yae-Jin realised that someone wasn’t right. She afraid that her father might find out about it. She purposely made an excuse for his father in order to stop him from catching Kang Ro-Seo and her partner. Kang Ro-Seo saw Han Yae-Jin in front of the gate and she made a signal for her. Kang Ro-Seo knew that their plan has been discovered and quickly splits ways to avoid the guards to catch them.

Nam Young was investigating the case that related to his parent death. He met with Merchant Sim and he found his eyes very familiar. He wanted to confirm whether was he the one who killed his parents. However, his superior was just beside Merchant Sim. He stopped Nam Young from further investigation. He also made him working on paper work rather than going outside.

Before that, Nam Young met up with Chief Police to discuss on the investigation. The Chief police was in related to this case but he refused to corporate with Nam Young. When his superior told him about the Chief Police, he quickly went to his house as he afraid that someone might kill him to destroyed the evidence. Merchant Sim caught Nam Young when he arrived at the Chief Police’s house.

Kang Ro-Seo saw Nam Young has been kidnapped by Merchant Sim. She abandoned the wagon and rescued Nam Young. In order to avoid being caught by them, they went into the dry well. They accidentally found a tunnel in there. They followed the path and found the familiar place. It was the wood ice storage that Nam Young used to seize them. They also found an exist for it. Merchant Sim and his men could not be able to find them. At the same time, the guards who found the wagon in that area. They were looking for Kang Ro-Seo. Merchant Sim and his men entered the well and to escape from them.

Nam Young and Kang Ro-Seo realised that Merchant Sim and his men have arrived in the tunnel. They stayed quiet and waited for them to leave. Nam Young and Kang Ro-Seo went back to the well and wanted to escape from there. However, they found the rope has been untied. Kang Ro-Seo told him that she stole the steal of the Minister of Wars. Nam Young was angry with her as what she did was actually wrong. However, he could not hate her. Nam Young suddenly thought of a way to get out of the tunnel. He used his archery skill to fix the rope up there. They finally managed to leave that place.

In order to protect the safety of Kang Ro-Seo, Nam Young asked Lee Pyo for help. Lee Pyo intended to bring her to palace. Lee Pyo also reminded Nam Young to give up on her since he will be the sons-in-law of the Minister of Wars. Nam Young has no choice but to allow Lee Pyo to protect her. Lee Pyo was extremely happy about it. He even asked his mother to prepare a room for her to stay. Lee Pyo’s mother was happy that her son requested her to do something for him. Lee Pyo’s uncle wondered why his sister was busying preparing a room. She then told him about Kang Ro-Seo and her background.

Lee Pyo prepared a plaquing for Kang Ro-Seo. He wanted to tell her in person who he was. Kang Ro-Seo was worried about her friend Cheon-Geum. she asked Eunuch to stop by the clinic. She saw Cheon-Geum has been chased by the thugs. She left the plaquing and saved her friend. Thugs took her instead of her friends. Eunuch informed Lee Pyo about this issue. He was extremely worry about her. He rode the horse to save her. Chun-Gae who was seriously injured by the thug while saving Cheon-Geum to Nam Young about the kidnap. Nam Young also rushed to the temple to save her.

Lee Pyo and Nam Young arrived at the temple. They fought with those thugs under Merchant Sim. Lee Pyo fought with them since he has better swordsmanship. On the other hand, Nam Young rescued her and left the place as soon as possible. When Merchant Sim tried to hurt Lee Pyo, Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum brought some guards with him to protect Lee Pyo. Kang Ro-Seo was surprised to hear that they called him the Royal Highness. Merchant Sim saw Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum. He stopped the fight and left the temple with his men.

Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum asked Nam Young about the incident happened last night. He did not let Nam Young to held responsible for last night incident. Nam Young told him that he has not find the evident against Merchant Sim for his wrongdoings. Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum told him to look for the evident and hand over to him, so that he can passed it to the King.

Nam Young tried to trace down Merchant Sim whereabout. Kang Ro-Seo told them that while she was being kidnapped by Merchant Sim’s men, she heard that they received bribes from the buyers who purchase liquor. Merchant Sim then bribed Minister of Prohibition so that they did not get caught. Kang Ro-Seo thought of a plan to find the flow of money in order to catch Merchant Sim. Kang Ro-Seo worked together with Dae-Mo, Song Mak-San, Gye Sang-Mok, Joong-Mok, Ha-Mok, Cheon-Geum and Chun-Gae to stole Merchant Sim’s money and also burnt down their warehouse. They purposely did that so that Nam Young and his officers can broke into Merchant Sim’s office to look for evident.

Merchant Sim nearly get caught by Nam Young. However, he was able to escape from him. Nam Young decided to hand over the evident to the King. Kang Ro-Seo also fulfilled her promised to make Cheon-Geum to become commoner.  Cheon-Geum was really happy about it. Nam Young also talked to Han Yae-Jin about breaking off their engagement. Han Yae-Jin was extremely happy about it.

Merchant Sim and Woon-Sim were working for Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum. Merchant Sim tried to gain trust from Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum. He stole the letter from Nam Young and stabbed him. Merchant Sim handed the letter to Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum. Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum then destroyed the letter. He also asked him to look for Kang Ro-Seo. He promised Merchant Sim that he will give him a government position. The capital was full of Kang Ro-Seo’s poster whereby she has been framed for being the leader of selling alcohol.

When Han Yae-Jin heard that her father wanted to let her marry with the crown prince, she quickly packed her bag and left her house. She saw Kang Ro-Seo’s poster all over the capital. She quickly looked for her and ran to a safe place to hid her. Kang Ro-Seo wanted to inform Nam Young and Woon-Sim but it has been stopped by her friends. She also unable to pass through the gate since there were many guards checking everyone face.

The next morning, Hwang So-Yoo and Prohibition Inspector Kim Seok-Won discovered Nam Young’s body by the river. Because the face has been destroyed and they only found his identity plate, they thought that the body was belonged to Nam Young. Lee Pyo also came to see his body. Lee Pyo felt really upset about his death. He also concerned about Kang Ro-Seo’s safety. However, he has been banned from leaving the palace.

Dae-Mo and Song Mak-San arranged a boat for Kang Ro-Seo to escape. However, when she heard about Nam Young’s death, she was emotional unstable. The passenger recognised her and the guards were chasing to catch her. Fortunately, they were able to escape from the guards. Kang Ro-Seo wanted to enter the capital. She thought of the idea to take Han Yae-Jin as a captive to help them passed through the gate. Han Yae-Jin also left a letter for his father.

Woon-Sim treated Nam Young’s wound. She also paid large sums of money to others to switch the cloth to the death people. She did that so that she can buy time for Nam Young to recover. Nam Young woke up and asked Woon-Sim what was her intention. She told him to find Kang Ro-Seo as soon as possible. Nam Young met up with Hwang So-Yoo and Prohibition Inspector Kim Seok-Won. They planned to find Kang Ro-Seo. At the same time, he also met up with Minister of Wars. He threatened him to do as he said. If not, he will report his daughter to steal his steal to allow Kang Ro-Seo to send the liquor into the capital. Minister of Wars just followed his instruction.

During the ceremony for sending away the dead, Nam Young pretended to be the follower among the officers. He was looking for Kang Ro-Seo. Kang Ro-Seo appeared by the road side to see Nam Young being sent off. Nam Young noticed about her and sent signal to Chun-Gae. Chun-Gae purposely gained attention from the people so that Nam Young can met up with Kang Ro-Seo.

Lee Pyo took the advantage to escape from the palace. He wanted to protect Kang Ro-Seo from being caught by Merchant Sim and officers. He bumped with Han Yae-Jin. Since the palace guards were also looking for him, he grabbed Han Yae-Jin’s hand and ran away. Han Yae-Jin finally realised that he was the crown prince that she was going to get marry. She changed her mind and agreed to enter the selection of crown princess. In the palace, Han Yae-Jin wanted to show Lee Pyo that she was persistent and wanted to become his wife. Finally, she managed to pass all the test and became the crown princess.

Sim Heon was trying to look for Kang Ro-Seo. He never thought that Nam Young was still alive. Nam Young nearly caught him, but he managed to escape. Nam Young found the evidence in his office and present that evidence to the King. He pointed out that Sim Heon has run an illegal selling of alcohol in the capital city. He also showed the king that they have built a tunnel to transport the alcohol to the capital city.  Due to Nam Young discovery, the King awarded him and also gave him a better accommodation to stay. Nam Yong brought his servants and also his other comrade to stay at his house.

One day, Kang Ro-Seo has been kidnapped by Sim Heon. Sim Heon brought her to a temple. Lee Pyo and Nam Young came to the temple to rescue her. Nam Young saw the tiger that carried by Kang Ro-Seo. He realised that 10 years ago, it was her father who saved his life. He felt guilty towards her. He decided to catch Sim Heon no matter what. He raided Minister of Prohibition because it has connection with Sim Heon.

Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum knew about it. He lied to him that Minister of Prohibition was meant for the King to build his own army. He did not want Nam Young to continue this investigation. At the same time, Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum sent an anonymous letter to the palace to raid Nam Young’s residence because he kept Kang Ro-Seo at his home. Kang Ro-Seo saw a tiger toy at Nam Young’s study room. She found that was similar to the one that her father made for her. Suddenly, she heard the guards were trying to arrest her. She quickly escaped from the house.

On the way, she met the queen. The queen offered to hide her in her carriage. She also placed her to stay at somewhere safe. Kang Ro-Seo asked for her name. she refused to tell her. Kang Ro-Seo sent a letter to Nam Young to tell him her whereabouts. Nam Young quickly went to find her. Kang Ro-Seo asked him about the toy tiger. He explained about what happened 10 years ago and also who was the murderer who killed her father. Kang Ro-Seo finally knew that truth and decided to give out poster to whoever to manage to catch Sim Heon will be awarded 10,000 yang. Kang Ro-Seo’s brother saw the poster and wanted to leave the place with Gye Sang-Mok.

Kang Ro-Seo hired a few people to distribute the posters all around the capital city. The guards kept chasing the distributors of posters. Chief Royal Secretary Lee Shi-Heum read the poster as well. He decided to quickly move on with his plan. On the other hand, he also placed some poison for the king to consume. The King’s body has become weaker and weaker. Lee Shi-Heum tried to kill Nam Young. However, there was Nam Young’s coordinator can to save him. Lee Shi-Heum decided not to kill him at the moment. Nam Young held a meeting with the King. He confessed to him that he was the one who put poison for Crown Prince Sunghyun. He was also the one who killed Kang Ro-Seo’s father.  Lee Pyo begged him not to hurt his friends. He suggested Lee Shi-Heum to frame Chief State Councilor Yeon Jo-Moon.

Nam Young did not think that Chief State Councilor Yeon Jo-Moon was the culprit. Queen suddenly requested Kang Ro-Seo to meet her in the palace. She passed a bodyguard log to her. It was belonged to his father. Kang Ro-Seo’s father wrote his investigation on the death of Crown Prince Sunghyun. The last person he met was Gisaeng Cho. Kang Ro-Seo went to see Woon-Sim and asked for Gisaeng Cho. She brought her to see Gisaeng Cho. Gisaeng Cho revealed what was happened back then.

Lee Shi-Heum was the one who poisoned the Crown Prince Sunghyun. Kang Ro-Seo’s father found out about it and he killed him as well. Kang Ro-Seo quickly told Nam Young that Jannabi was Lee Shi-Heum. Nam Young wrote a letter for the King. He asked his colleagues to pass the letter directly to the King if anything happened to him. Nam Young told Lee Pyo about it. Lee Pyo wanted to protect him. Therefore, he ordered the guard to arrest him as well as Kang Ro-Seo.

Lee Shi-Heum met up with the King. He poured the tea for the King to drink. The King knew that he copied others’ writing to frame the other person. The king also demanded him to kill himself in front of him. However, the King has been poison. He collapsed.

Han Yae-Jin slapped Lee Pyo so that he was aware of what he was doing. After being convinced by her, Lee Pyo secretly helped Nam Young and Kang Ro-Seo to escape. After they left the Palace, they decided to plan their strategy to declare war against Lee Shi-Heum. Kang Ro-Seo took over the breweries of Sim Heon. She also met her brother there too.

Sim Heon was being rescued by Woon-Sim. Sim Heon once told her that he was the son of Lee Shi-Heum. His father did not know his existence. His mother gave birth to him and also curved a symbol on his hand. He wanted to tell his father when the time is right. Woon-Sim refused to see him acting this way. She went to the palace and tried to kill Lee Shi-Heum. Sim Heon stopped her. Although she told Lee Shi-Heum that he was his son, Lee Shi-Heum did not believe her. Suddenly, his subordinate stabbed Sim Heon and died. Woon-Sim did not want to leave him, so she killed herself and lay beside him.

Kang Ro-Seo and others made a lot of alcohol. They distributed to all the villagers. The news has been spread to the palace. Lee Shi-Heum caught a few people and wanted to punish them in front of the public. Kang Ro-Seo stopped him. She asked him to take her instead since she was the one who distributed them.

Nam Young, on the other hand, sneaked into the palace. He wanted to steal the cop and handover to the Queen. Lee Dong-Sik works at the Manyang Police Substation in a small city. One day, Detective Han Joo-Won is transferred to the same police substation. He is assigned to work as Lee Dong-Sik’s boss and also his partner. Han Joo-Won is an elite detective and comes from a distinguished background. His father, Han Ki-Hwan is going to become the next chief at the National Police Agency.

Lee Dong-Sik, Oh Ji-Hwa and Park Jung-Je are childhood friends. They used to hangout together with other police officer at Manyang restaurant too.

There are a serial murder case takes place in Munju. Han Joo-Won transferred to Manyang Police Substation to investigate the case. He did a background check on Lee Dong-Sik and believed that he was the murder of his sister, Lee Yu-Yeon. However, there was no evidence showed that he was the murderer. Lee Yu-Yeon believed has been murdered 20 years ago but they could not be able to find her body. The murderer only left her ten fingers’ tips in front of the house.

Han Joo-Won arranged a woman, Lee Geum-Hwa to be his spy to help him to investigate the case. Lee Geum-Hwa was a foreigner without any identity. Han Joo-Won gave her a burner phone, so that she can contact him when necessary. However, soon after, Han Joo-Won no longer received any message from her. One day, while Lee Dong-Sik, Han Joo-Won and Oh Ji-Hoon looked for a mental illness uncle, they accidentally found a skeleton. The corpse was belonged to Lee Geum-Hwa. Han Joo-Won recognised the corpse right away when he saw the finger.

Han Joo-Won disliked to use shared item. He also likes everything in clean. He has difficult to get along with his new colleagues. He hates Lee Dong-Sik a lot. One day, his colleagues invited him to have a meal at Manyang restaurant. Besides the restaurant, there is a Butcher's Shop which ran by Yoo Jae-Yi. She used to help out at the restaurant. She faced the similar misery as Lee Dong-Sik whereby her mother has been missing for years.

Han Joo-Won checked on the past records of victims’ murder case. He realised that many of the records were went missing. He asked Park Jung-Je about it, who in charged of taking care of the files and records. Park Jung-Je just simply gave him some reason. At night, Park Jung-Je came to see Lee Dong-Sik and asked him about the file. Lee Dong-Sik refused to tell him anything. Lee Dong-Sik actually kept the file at his basement. He secretly returned the file and put them back in their original position. Han Joo-Won checked the file again and saw all the document back in place. He started to suspect Lee Dong-Sik’s intention for keeping the file.

The similar case also takes place after 20 years later. Kang Min-Jung also believed has been murdered and only found her fingers’ tips in front of the house. Lee Dong-Sik treated Kang Min-Jung as his daughter. He always cared for her and also worried about her not coming home. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won was shocked to see that.

Han Joo-Won was curious about Lee Dong-Sik. He tried his best to look for all the evidences against him. at last, he found a CCTV footage that showed Lee Dong-Sik was around that area. Lee Dong-Sik has been caught at once. He was also being suspect as the killer who murdered Kang Min-Jung. The police also found a drop of blood belonged to Kang Min-Jung at the basement.

A few days later, Park Jung-Je confessed he was together with him when the incident took place. Oh Ji-Hwa scolded Park Jung-Je why did he repeat the same mistakes in the past 20 years ago. Park Jung-Je did not believe that Lee Dong-Sik was behind. He trusted him that he will not hurt Kang Min-Jung. Kang Jin-Mook (Kang Min-Jung’s father) was Lee Dong-Sik’s close friend. He was raised by Lee Dong-Sik’s mother since he was young. He also believed that Lee Dong-Sik will not do such a thing towards his daughter. Soon, Lee Dong-Sik released from the prison.

Han Ki-Hwan tried to stop his son from investigating the murder case, however, his son refused to listen to him. he insisted to find the real killer for the sake of the victims. Han Joo-Won has been scolded by his father for providing a false statement about the serial murder case. Han Joo-Won has been banned from entering his house and also went back to his original workplace. One day, when the reporter came over to interview him, others colleagues including Lee Dong-Sik helped him out. They prohibited that reporter to came to the police station ever again. Han Joo-Won wandered why they did that for him. Lee Dong-Sik explained that they stayed together when anyone of them faced difficult issue.

Lee Chang-Jin is Oh Ji-Hwa’s ex-husband. He is also a director of JL Construction. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won is Park Jung-Je’s mother. Both of them worried that the serial murder case might affect their plan for redevelopment. They discussed the issue with Han Ki-Hwan. However, Han Ki-Hwan did not want to involve in this politic issue.

Han Joo-Won finally realised that Lee Dong-Sik was not the killer. He kept thinking who was the people behind it. He monitored and suspected Park Jung-Je. He did some background check on him. He also overheard the conversation between Oh Ji-Hoon and Lee Dong-Sik. Oh Ji-Hoon told him that that night he saw Park Jung-Je and Kang Min-Jung together. Therefore, he was 100% sure that Lee Dong-Sik was not the murderer.  Han Joo-Won was eager to find out who was the murderer. He kept asking Lee Dong-Sik and also hope that he can trust him. He wanted to join hand with Lee Dong-Sik.

During the day Kang Min-Jung went missing, Lee Dong-Sik realised that she has left the police station. However, she dropped her house key at there. Lee Dong-Sik called her up and checked on her. Kang Min-Jung was on her way home. She coincidently met up with Park Jung-Je. Oh Ji-Hoon bought some drinks for Kang Min-Jung, he witnessed Park Jung-Je sent her home. He just left right away. Kang Jin-Mook saw her daughter walked with Park Jung-Je. He heard his daughter talking about him. He quickly went back home to wait for her. Kang Min-Jung straight away went back to her room. Kang Jin-Mook killed his own daughter and cleaned up the mess before Oh Ji-Hoon showed up at his home. Oh Ji-Hoon invited him to come to Yoo Jae-Yi’s restaurant. He also packed up some drinks and brought them there. Lee Dong-Sik was worried about Kang Min-Jung. He went to her house to look for her. He entered the house using her keys. He found the murder scene of Kang Min-Jung. He saw the 10 fingers of hers there. He tried to look for her body but could find anywhere. He cannot even convict Kang Jin-Mook as a murderer since there was no body has been found. In order to trap him, Lee Dong-Sik kept her handphones and a green scarf that believed to be the weapon to kill her.

Kang Jin-Mook brought some kimchi for all the police that help to investigate the case. However, police are not allowed to accept anything from people. Kang Jin-Mook insisted to give them the Kimchi.

Kang Jin-Mook called Lee Dong-Sik and asked him for Han Joo-Won’s handphone number. He requested Han Joo-Won to investigate his daughter’s case. Han Joo-Won accepted his request even though Lee Dong-Sik tried to stop him. Han Joo-Won took his statement and did some analysis. He wondered why Lee Dong-Sik did not mention about Kang Jin-Mook who could be his alibi for not killing Kang Min-Jung.

Park Jung-Je decided to take a vacation break for a moment. He told his mother that he always heard woman crying. Park Jung-Je used to stay at the mental hospital for a moment. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won worried about her son. She asked Lee Chang-Jin to give her the CCTV footage during the incident. She wanted to remove his son from the CCTV footage and released it to the press. When the CCTV footage surfaced on social media, the police saw that Oh Ji-Hoon has been captured in the video. He has been brought to the police station for investigation. Oh Ji-Hoon told them the whole story in order to clear his name.

Lee Dong-Sik and Kang Jin-Mook were at Yoo Jae-Yi’s restaurant. Kang Jin-Mook expressed that he missed his daughter. Lee Dong-Sik went to the outside at the moment. Han Joo-Won and the other partner went for patrol. They received a call from another colleague saying that Kang Min-Jung turned on her handphone. They tried to trace her location but she suddenly turned off her phone. Han Joo-Won found something not right. He came to Yoo Jae-Yi’s restaurant and asked what was going on. Kang Jin-Mook received a message from Kang Min-Jung. She asked him to let her out. This message was actually sent by Lee Dong-Sik. He kept the handphone at a secret drawer behind the alley. Yoo Jae-Yi found out about it and asked him is it that he suspect Kang Jin-Mook as the murderer of Kang Min-Jung and also Lee Yu-Yeon. Lee Dong-Sik admitted it. Yoo Jae-Yi wondered as if her mother went missing also related to him. The chances are probably high too. Yoo Jae-Yi purposely sent another message on Kang Min-Jung’s handphone to Kang Jin-Mook.

At night, Kang Jin-Mook stopped by at Yoo Jae-Yi’s shop. Kang Jin-Mook left a note and a hairpin on the table. Yoo Jae-Yi recognised the hairpin right away. It was belonged to her mother. She came to the stream of Munju to look for her mother. She told Lee Dong-Sik about it. Lee Dong-Sik sent Park Jung-Je to look for her.

Han Joo-Won was checking the CCTV around the area. He found out that the only CCTV has been broken was in front of Kang Jin-Mook’s house. And Nam Sang-Bae was the one who controlled the CCTV at that time. Han Joo-Won suspect Nam Sang-Bae has been protecting Lee Dong-Sik. He believed that Lee Dong-Sik was the one who put those fingers in front of the house. He came to Lee Dong-Sik’s house and was going to catch him. After Lee Dong-Sik received a call from Yoo Jae-Yi, both of them went to Kang Jin-Mook’s house. Kang Jin-Mook was taking out the body of Kang Min-Jung which he has been buried under the soil. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won caught him on the spot.

After the incident, Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won are close to one another. Lee Dong-Sik promised that he will turn himself in after the they found all the bodies. Yoo Jae-Yi recognised her mother’s corpse after seeing the hairpin. She was heartbroken to see the corpse that was just nearby her shop.

Prosecutors Kwon Hyeok worked for Han Ki-Hwan. He always told Han Ki-Hwan about the case that Han Joo-Won. Han Joo-Won disliked Prosecutors Kwon Hyeok because he used to ask for favour to talk good things in front of his father. Han Joo-Won only call him when there is a necessary. Prosecutors Kwon Hyeok used to taught him while he was young.

Kang Jin-Mook refused to tell where did other bodies buried. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won tried a few ways to trick him so that he can confessed it. Kang Jin-Mook made a deal with Lee Dong-Sik    as if he can find his wife, he only told him the truth. The police found many other bodies in their garden. However, they couldn’t be able to find Lee Yu-Yeon’s. Lee Dong-Sik was desperate to find her sister. Han Joo-Won consoled him that he will help him to his sister. Suddenly, they received a call from the cell saying that Kang Jin-Mook has committed suicide. He wrote on the wall with his blood that he did not kill Lee Yu-Yeon. This case has been ended without any further investigation.

Lee Dong-Sik has been promoted and Han Joo-Won accepted his punishment for his wrong judgement. Three months later, Han Joo-Won returned to Manyang Police Substation for reinstatement. Over the three months, Lee Dong-Sik has been searching for his sister’s body in Kang Jin-Mook’s house. Kang Jin-Mook also transferred the property under Lee Dong-Sik’s name after he died. Lee Dong-Sik watched the video that Kang Jin-Mook used to film for him while he was away from home. Lee Dong-Sik found out that he worked at the construction site before. He asked around his friend which company did he work for. It was JL Construction.  Park Jung-Je told them that there was a private land has been sold to Lee Chang-Jin. Lee Dong-Sik and his colleagues dig the soil to look for the body. They were surprised that they found numerous bodies in that land. However, none of them is Lee Yu-Yeon. Lee Dong-Sik felt disappointed again.

Lee Dong-Sik went to see his mother at the hospital. He heard his mother whispering about Kang Jin-Mook who worked in the boiler. Lee Dong-Sik went back to his basement and punched the wall. He finally found his sister inside the wall. At the same time, he received a call from his colleague saying that Nam Sang-Bae has been captured by the police for murdering Kang Jin-Mook.

During the day when Kang Jin-Mook committed suicide, Yoo Jae-Yi brought a knife with her. She tried to sneak into the prison but she was unsuccessful. She has been caught by one of the car’s dashcam. Yoo Jae-Yi witnessed Nam Sang-Bae sneaked into the prison instead. Han Joo-Won heard that Yoo Jae-Yi has been missing for 3 months after Kang Jin-Mook dead. He received some rumours saying that she was working at the fishing village nearby. He also saw Nam Sang-Bae was looking for her too. Han Joo-Won purposely put the fishing line and the death certificate inside Nam Sang-Bae’s safety box. He also sent the dashcam to Yoo Jae-Yi as well.

Nam Sang-Bae was in the prison. He insisted that he did not kill Kang Jin-Mook. Because the evidence is not enough, he will be released within 72 hours. During the period, Jo Gil-Goo and Station Chief Jung Cheol-Mun have been visiting him. Nam Sang-Bae asked Jo Gil-Goo why did he done in 21 years ago. Nam Sang-Bae was referring to the guitar picks that Jo Gil-Go sent for forensic department to examine the fingerprint. That was only evidence without fingerprint. Jo Gil-Goo told him that he only did what he was told. He did not know anything about it.

Han Joo-Won followed Nam Sang-Bae after he has been released from the prison. He placed a tracker on his wallet. Nam Sang-Bae received many calls from Lee Dong-Sik, but he did not pick up the call. He went to the car junk area. Han Joo-Won followed him. He saw blood on the floor and also a voice recorder. Han Joo-Won thought something bad had happened to him. Han Joo-Won quickly informed Lee Dong-Sik about it. He followed the car since the tracker still at Nam Sang-Bae. He kept following him until he saw someone pushed him down the sea. Han Joo-Won jumped into the sea to rescue Nam Sang-Bae. However, it was too late. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won decided to join hands together to find the culprit of Nam Sang-Bae.

Oh Ji-Hwa gathered everyone at Yoo Jae-Yi’s restaurant. Everyone mourned for Nam Sang-Bae. Everyone also wanted to find the killer of Nam Sang-Bae. They started gathering information and also looked for possible suspicious person. Park Jung-Je checked Jo Gil-Goo’s handphone history. He found the numbers were familiar. Han Joo-Won talked to Station Chief Jung Cheol-Mun. He also checked his handphone. He called the number. It happened that the number was belonged to Councilwoman Do Hae-Won.

After being questioning by Lee Dong-Sik, Park Jung-Je suddenly having difficulty in breathing. Lee Dong-Sik thought that Park Jung-Je might have something hide from him. Park Jung-Je was then sent to the hospital. Do Hae-Won came to see Lee Chang-Jin. She talked about the report analysis that she destroyed. In the report, they found the fingerprint of Park Jung-Je. Do Hae-Won wanted to protect her son. Therefore, she fabricated the report and destroyed the evidence as well as the original report.

Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won questioned Jo Gil-Goo as they found out that Councilwoman Do Hae-Won gave him some land rather than money. Jo Gil-Goo spilled out that he did blackmail her for his son for murdering Lee Yu-Yeon. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won also sold many of her land at a cheap price in a short period of time to a few people as well. She sold most of them to Lee Chang-Jin. They wondered why did she do that.

Park Jung-Je woke up and ran away from the hospital. Coincidently, Han Joo-Won met up with him on the road. He lied to him that Lee Dong-Sik allowed him to stay at his basement. Han Joo-Won then meet up with Lee Dong-Sik at Yoo Jae-Yi’s restaurant. He told him that Park Jung-Je was at his basement. Lee Dong-Sik went to see Park Jung-Je and questioned him about what happened that night. Park Jung-Je suddenly recalled what happened and apologised to Lee Dong-Sik that he hit his sister. He told him that his hit her when she was already lying on the road. He was too afraid at that time, so he called his mother for help. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won contacted Lee Chang-Jin to help her clean up the mess.

Lee Dong-Sik recalled from what his colleague told him that his sister should be standing on the road before she got hit by a car. Lee Dong-Sik did not think that Park Jung-Je was the only person who hit her sister.

Oh Ji-Hwa and her colleague were tailing Lee Chang-Jin. They noticed that he has been waiting for Han Ki-Hwan at the police station. Oh Ji-Hwa checked his contact history and found out that he has been calling Han Ki-Hwan, but Han Ki-Hwan did not answer any of them. She also found out that Lee Chang-Jin also contacted Councilwoman Do Hae-Won a few times as well. Lee Dong-Sik asked Park Jung-Je to do him a favour. He asked him to tell his mother that Lee Chang-Jin has a secret hiding from her. He has been secretly contacted Han Ki-Hwan behind her back.

Han Joo-Won came to Lee Dong-Sik’s house. He wondered why he released Park Jung-Je. Lee Dong-Sik told him that he suspected Han Ki-Hwan was related with Lee Yu-Yeon’s case. Han Ki-Hwan, who was the police, closed the cases without any further investigation. He asked Han Joo-Won whether did he trust his father. Han Joo-Won told him that he trusted no body. Han Ki-Hwan was then being nominated for Commissioner General.

Han Ki-Hwan suddenly asked Lee Dong-Sik to see him. He assigned him to catch corrupted police officer. 3 months later, Han Ki-Hwan has been appointed to attend the meeting for the nomination for Commissioner General. Han Joo-Won attended his father’s event together with Prosecutors Kwon Hyeok. Before that, Han Joo-Won asked a reporter to report a bribery case of his father the day before the hearing began. Han Ki-Hwan refuted his statement for not reporting the bribery case of Councilwoman Do Hae-Won. He told the press that they made the deal under normal procedure as Councilwoman Do Hae-Won may in need of money, so she sold the land at a cheaper price. While the hearing was on going, Lee Dong-Sik barged in and requested to catch a corrupted officer. He then handcuffed Han Joo-Won. The hearing was then being paused and proceed in another time.

Han Joo-Won and Lee Dong-Sik have been planning all these right before the hearing. Han Joo-Won asked Lee Dong-Sik to handcuff him during the hearing. Lee Dong-Sik hesitated and asked him to re-think about the consequences of doing so as that might affect his future career. Han Joo-Won insisted to do it so that he can find out the truth. Lee Dong-Sik told him not to say anything during the investigation or else he will not be going to handcuff him. Han Joo-Won promised him.

During the investigation, Han Joo-Won admitted those charges and asked Lee Dong-Sik to punish him according. Lee Dong-Sik asked him why did he break their promise. Han Joo-Won still insisted to proceed with the punishment. Lee Dong-Sik charged him for suspension from his duty. Han Joo-Won went back home and told his father about his suspension. His father was frustrated and asked him to leave the house. Han Joo-Won put a location tracker and also spy hearing device in his father’s car. He then asked Lee Dong-Sik to cooperate with him. Lee Dong-Sik has no idea what was going on.

Park Jung-Je invited Lee Chang-Jin to meet up with him at the incident place. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won was there to question Lee Chang-Jin what did he hide from her. Lee Chang-Jin wondered why did ask about what happened to Kang Jin-Mook and Nam Sang-Bae in the prison. Lee Chang-Jin checked Park Jung-Je’s cloth and found out that he has been calling Lee Dong-Sik. Lee Dong-Sik has heard all their conversation. Councilwoman Do Hae-Won never expect that her son has betrayed her. She thought that conversation should be held privately. Right before Lee Chang-Jin has been sent for investigation, Lee Chang-Jin blackmailed Councilwoman Do Hae-Won for another secret. Park Jung-Je kept asking his mother, but she refused to tell him.

Lee Chang-Jin received a message from Han Ki-Hwan to meet at the same place again. Lee Chang-Jin exchanged his car and went to the meeting place. Before that, Han Joo-Won planned Lee Dong-Sik and Oh Ji-Hwa to tail Lee Chang-Jin whereas Yoo Jae-Yi to tail Han Ki-Hwan. Han Ki-Hwan saw a car has been tailing him. He asked his colleague to check out the car number plate. Since the car was belonged to police, during the road block, Han Ki-Hwan told the police in charge to question Yoo Jae-Yi. Yoo Jae-Yi was then lost tail from Han Ki-Hwan. Lee Dong-Sik and Oh Ji-Hwa also lost sight from Lee Dong-Sik and Oh Ji-Hwa as well.

Han Joo-Won heard their conversation in the car. He was surprised that Han Ki-Hwan was the one who hit Lee Yu-Yeon. He asked Lee Chang-Jin to clean up his mess. Later, Park Jung-Je hit Lee Yu-Yeon again and Councilwoman Do Hae-Won called him for help too. When he tried to discard Lee Yu-Yeon’s body, Kang Jin-Mook took the body away and buried her in the basement. Kang Jin-Mook witnessed Han Ki-Hwan and Lee Chang-Jin when the incident happened. Lee Chang-Jin spilled out that Han Ki-Hwan ordered him to kill Nam Sang-Bae and Kang Jin-Mook. Then, Han Ki-Hwan asked him to kill Station Chief Jung Cheol-Mun too.

Han Joo-Won showed Lee Dong-Sik the recording tape for him. Lee Dong-Sik finally knew the truth. Han Joo-Won begged him that he will handle his father and asked him to trust him. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won tried to look for Park Jung-Je. He has been transferred to mental hospital for treatment. Lee Dong-Sik and Han Joo-Won rescued him from the hospital. Park Jung-Je confessed about the incident happened during the day Lee Yu-Yeon being murdered.

Lee Chang-Jin and Councilwoman Do Hae-Won later has been caught by Oh Ji-Hwa. They confessed their mistakes and also spilled out Han Ki-Hwan. Han Ki-Hwan felt ashamed and wanted to commit suicide. Han Joo-Won stopped his father and sent him to police station. At last, Lee Dong-Sik also decided to pay for what he did. He requested Han Joo-Won to arrest him. Lee Dong-Sik, Park Jung-Je, Lee Chang-Jin, Han Ki-Hwan and Councilwoman Do Hae-Won received their punishment.

A few years later, Yoo Jae-Yi gathered everyone at her restaurant. Lee Dong-Sik, Han Joo-Won and other ex-colleague also came by for gathering.

Ryu Soo-Yeol is an ambitious police officer who will do anything in order to achieve his success. He is competent at his job, but he has a questionable ethics. His ex-girlfriend is Lee Hee-Gyeom who worked at Narcotics department. K always appeared when Ryu Soo-Yeol was on his lonely time. Ryu Soo-Yeol has no idea who he is.

Oh Kyung-Tae was a police officer. He was helping a kid to look for her mother. He talked to the detective, Do In-Beom who used to handle her case. The detective did not respond much on it. Oh Kyung-Tae decided to look for her by himself. Unfortunately, he faced some difficulty whenever he looked for the evidence. Do In-Beom hit him badly and warned him not to come by. Oh Kyung-Tae reported the case to Ryu Soo-Yeol. Ryu Soo-Yeol questioned both Oh Kyung-Tae and Do In-Beom. He knew that Oh Kyung-Tae was innocent. However, in order to gain favour from Assemblyman Do Yu-Gon for his future promotion, he kept an eye close and let Do In-Beom be it, as Assemblyman Do Yu-Gon and Do In-Beom are relatives.

Oh Kyung-Tae accidentally found a camera in the teddy bear. He took the chip out and went to his home to watch the video. He then noticed that someone at his house. It was Do In-Beom. He stole the chip from him and also put his house on fire. K dragged Ryu Soo-Yeol to Oh Kyung-Tae’s house. He asked him to apologise to him. Ryu Soo-Yeol did not apologise, but he barged into his house and rescued him. Because the house was going to explode, all of them jumped off the window. 

Oh Kyung-Tae has been hospitalised for treatment. Ryu Soo-Yeol wondered what had happened for last night. Ryu Soo-Yeol has no choice but to investigate Jeong Yu-Na case. He met up with her daughter and learnt about her family. He and his partner also checked on the CCTV nearby Oh Kyung-Tae’s house. They discovered that Do In-Beom was there that night. They also checked it out on any suspicious car appeared when Jeong Yu-Na was last seen at her apartment. They found out a van. They looked out for the van and also found some ashes. They took the ashes for DNA test. It turned out that Jeong Yu-Na has been murdered.

Ryu Soo-Yeol told his partner that he always met up with K. However, he did not know him at all. He also wondered why he was the one saw him. His partner offered him to see a doctor. He saw the doctor and the doctor offered him to take sleeping pill as he lacked of sleep and caused him has hallucination.

Ryu Soo-Yeol and his partner were going to arrest Do In-Beom. However, Do In-Beom refuted that they had found a knife in Oh Kyung-Tae’s house. Oh Kyung-Tae has been accused for murdering Jeong Yu-Na. Ryu Soo-Yeol’s superior asked him not to cause any trouble for his upcoming promotion. Ryu Soo-Yeol has no choice but just followed his superior instruction. He turned a blind eye on this case although he knew that Oh Kyung-Tae was innocent.

Lee Hee-Gyeom investigated that happened to be related to Jeong Yu-Na. She talked to him about the necklace that Jeong Yu-Na was wearing. She told him that Jeong Yu-Na was actually an informant. She has to find the necklace that contained camera on it. Ryu Soo-Yeol ignored her as he did not want to involve in that case anymore.

Ryu Soo-Yeol met up with K again. K brought him to the place where they discovered the van. K alerted those foreign workers and all of them fight with one another. Ryu Soo-Yeol went upstairs and found the necklace that mentioned by Lee Hee-Gyeom. He took the necklace and ran away. He checked it out at his home and found the real murderer.

Assemblyman Do Yu-Gon came to the police station to congratulate Ryu Soo-Yeol for his promotion. He invited all the high rank officer to join a meal with him. Ryu Soo-Yeol accepted the offer. He went to the toilet and met up with K again. He tried to stop K. However, K ignored him. K went towards Assemblyman Do Yu-Gon and gave him a kick on his face. In fact, K was actually Ryu Soo-Yeol. He has dual personality.

Ryu Soo-Yeol talked to his doctor, Yum Geun-Soo regarding his condition. His doctor asked him to communicate with K and asked his name. K was a righteous man and a good fighter. He couldn’t stand when someone faced injustice. However, K was secretly in love with Lee Hee-Gyeom. He kept sending flowers for him. Lee Hee-Gyeom started to worry about him as she received flowers for couples of days. Ryu Soo-Yeol was unable to recall where did he kept the video footage of the Do Yu-Gon. He looked everywhere within his house. He accidentally found the suite and helmet that he kept in his safety box. Finally found the video footage and shared it with Lee Hee-Gyeom. However, that cannot prove that Do Yu-Gon has actually killed Jeong Yu-Na.

Do Yu-Gon was worried that his murder case has been revealed. He scolded Do In-Beom for his incompetent for handling his case. He met up with Drug Ring. He promised with carry out the business with them if they kill Do In-Beom for his sake. He also threatened Ryu Soo-Yeol’s family and kidnapped his brother. Ryu Soo-Yeol have no choice but to knee down on him and seek for forgiveness.

Suddenly, Oh Kyung-Tae contacted Ryu Soo-Yeol. He asked him for help. Oh Kyung-Tae was gained consciousness. He stole the voice recorder from Do In-Beom. Ryu Soo-Yeol listened to his story and told him that the voice recorder cannot charged him for murdering Jeong Yu-Na. After discussing with Lee Hee-Gyeom and Yang Jae-Sun, they decided to set up a trap for Do Yu-Gon. Do Yu-Gon accidentally fall into their trap and admitted that he was the murderer of Jeong Yu-Na. The police sent all his men and also Do Yu-Gon to the prison.

Ryu Soo-Yeol and Oh Kyung-Tae visited Jeong Yu-Na’s daughter. Ryu Soo-Yeol gave her the last video that her mother left for her. 

Because Do Yu-Gon has been caught by the police, the Boss Yong decided to cut her connection with him. She sent someone to the prison to kill Do Yu-Gon. He has been hospitalised. Lee Hee-Gyeom and her team have been discussing on the Drug Ring which has connection with Do Yu-Gon. However, Do Yu-Gon refused to tell them anything about the drug. After the incident, Lee Hee-Gyeom suggested to send Do Yu-Gon to another detention centre. In order to ensure his safety, she and her team personally sent him there. However, they met an accident while they were on the way to the detention centre. Lee Hee-Gyeom witnessed a guy kill everyone in the bus, except for her. She has been called for investigation. Ryu Soo-Yeol was in-charge for her case. K and Ryu Soo-Yeol were arguing with one another. K promised Ryu Soo-Yeol that he will vanish if he promised to save her. Ryu Soo-Yeol agreed with the deal and told her that he will save her no matter what.

Ryu Soo-Yeol suspected that there was spy in her department. He wondered why the drug ring knew exactly when and where did they send Do Yu-Gon to another detention centre. Lee Hee-Gyeom did not want to suspect her team. She believed in them. It turned out that Kim Kye-Sik, Heo Jong-Gu and Jung Chan-Ki were the spies of the drug ring. They purposely killed everyone in the bus and left only Lee Hee-Gyeom.  They also framed her for keeping drugs in her house. Lee Hee-Gyeom was then sent to the prison for investigation.

Ryu Soo-Yeol knew that she was innocent. He tried to find the witness for the incident. The witness was a student. He refused to tell him because he has been threatened by them. However, he felt guilty towards those who has been murdered. When Ryu Soo-Yeol kept questioning him, he finally opened up and told him about the fake ambulance.

Oh Kyung-Tae reported himself to Ryu Soo-Yeol. He has been transferred to work with him. Ryu Soo-Yeol was really surprised for his presence. Ryu Soo-Yeol was impressed with Oh Kyung-Tae who had done an incredible job for his. Yang Jae-Sun was jealous when Ryu Soo-Yeol praised Oh Kyung-Tae. Ryu Soo-Yeol came to a warehouse and found lots of drugs there. Someone has noticed him and called up a gang of people to fight with him. Unfortunately, Ryu Soo-Yeol has been injected with a needle by one of them and fainted.

When he woke up, he found himself has been tied up. He also discovered that Kim Kye-Sik, Heo Jong-Gu and Jung Chan-Ki were involved in drug ring. Kim Kye-Sik threatened him to place his fingerprint on the drug and also gave Ryu Soo-Yeol’s brother a large sum of money in his account. He threatened him not to tell anyone about what had happened in the warehouse. Ryu Soo-Yeol was anger but he has no other choice. Later, Kim Kye-Sik released him.

Ryu Soo-Yeol was frustrated when K acted impetuously. He went to see the doctor again. The doctor asked him to recall what had happened during his childhood. He was unable to recall and asked the doctor to hypnotize him. He only remembered that he was being chase by someone.

Ryu Soo-Yeol looked into the previous case that regarding Tak Min-Soo’s murdered case. He realised that there was something illogical according to Kim Kye-Sik’s statement. He believed that Kim Kye-Sik was the one who murdered Tak Min-Soo. However, that was no evidence pointed that Kim Kye-Sik killed Tak Min-Soo. Ryu Soo-Yeol went to the scene to have a look. He decided to work together with K in order to find out the truth.

K suddenly asked Ryu Soo-Yeol why did he ignore the call from a stranger who told him that he knew the real murderer of Tak Min-Soo. Ryu Soo-Yeol was drunk that day and he thought that call was a prank, so he did not take it easily. Ryu Soo-Yeol thought Shim Sang-Ho was the one who informed him. he looked for the him everywhere and finally found his house. He entered his house to search for evident. He accidentally found a brochure of rehabilitation centre. They went to the centre to look for him. unfortunately, the nurse told him that he was not the patient. In fact, he has been taking care of his friend, Woo Hyeok-Jin.

K and Ryu Soo-Yeol went to the junkyard to look for Woo Hyeok-Jin. They finally found him there. Woo Hyeok-Jin was drug addicted. When Ryu Soo-Yeol interviewed him, he told him that he was the one who killed Shim Sang-Ho. However, he was not the informant that called Ryu Soo-Yeol that day. However, he knew who called him. Woo Hyeok-Jin looked for that person. Ryu Soo-Yeol tried to stop him, but it was too late. Jung Chan-Ki has a close relationship with Tak Min-Soo. He witnessed Kim Kye-Sik killed Tak Min-Soo. He recorded the whole incident that day. Woo Hyeok-Jin asked Jung Chan-Ki whether was he the one who called Ryu Soo-Yeol. Jung Chan-Ki did not want to cause any trouble, so he just left Woo Hyeok-Jin in a countryside. Later, Andrei came by and gave him more drugs until he passed away due to overdose. Ryu Soo-Yeol received a call from the police and found out that Woo Hyeok-Jin has passed away. He has no idea who did that to him.

Ryu Soo-Yeol asked Jung Chan-Ki why did he kill Woo Hyeok-Jin. Jung Chan-Ki denied it right away. Oh Kyung-Tae and Yang Jae-Sun     found out that Heo Jong-Gu was the one who framed Lee Hee-Gyeom for having drugs. They looked for his car at the junkyard. They found Lee Hee-Gyeom medals. Soon, Lee Hee-Gyeom was being released from the prison. Ryu Soo-Yeol told her that her superior and her teammate were the one behind the death of Tak Min-Soo as well as framing her. She was shocked to accept the fact that her teammates framed her for drugs.

Jung Chan-Ki suddenly gave Ryu Soo-Yeol a call. He would like to meet him and handover the evidence to him. Andrei was tailing on Jung Chan-Ki. He informed Kim Kye-Sik to be aware of him. Kim Kye-Sik went to meet Jung Chan-Ki. Jung Chan-Ki was shocked to see him. Kim Kye-Sik robbed his handphone and destroyed it. At the same time, Kim Kye-Sik also asked his men to kidnap Lee Hee-Gyeom. Ryu Soo-Yeol had no choice. He rushed to save her at the junkyard. He found her inside a refrigerator lorry. However, both of them has been locked inside the lorry. Ryu Soo-Yeol and Lee Hee-Gyeom tried their best to open the door. They kicked as hard as possible. Eventually, the door has opened.

Ryu Soo-Yeol and Lee Hee-Gyeom caught all the people at the junkyard. They also called the police for assistance too. Ryu Soo-Yeol planned to stop working as a policeman. However, due to his family financial issue, he cannot resign. His mother was getting more and more forgetful. She forgot to turn off the pipe and caused flood in their store. As many items has been damaged due to flood, they have to bear large sum of renovation cost.

Ryu Soo-Yeol and Lee Hee-Gyeom intended to catch Andrei Kang. They looked for him everywhere. Ryu Soo-Yeol found out that Andrei Kang worked at Y courier company. He hid himself in one of the courier service vans. He accidentally found the drugs inside all the parcel. At night, he gathered the policeman to catch Andrei Kang. Andrei Kang stabbed on Yang Jae-Sun. He destroyed the SD card in his phone and let Ryu Soo-Yeol caught him.

During the interrogation between Ryu Soo-Yeol and Andrei Kang, Kim Kye-Sik stepped in and took Andrei Kang away from Ryu Soo-Yeol. Ryu Soo-Yeol knew that they were working with one another. He has no other clue how to catch Kim Kye-Sik without evidence.

Kim Kye-Sik has been threatened by Boss Yong. She asked him to steal all the seized drugs from the police station for her. Kim Kye-Sik and Jung Chan-Ki went to the police station to steal the seize items. Lee Hee-Gyeom followed their car. She caught them taking away the seize drugs on the spot, but Kim Kye-Sik managed to get away from them. Kim Kye-Sik met up with Boss Yong’s men. They gave them the money to exchange for the drugs. However, Boss Yong ordered her men to kill him. Kim Kye-Sik knew that Boss Yong was not an easy person. He burnt the drugs and took the money away.

Ryu Soo-Yeol chased Kim Kye-Sik to an abandoned building. They fought with one another. Lee Hee-Gyeom suddenly showed up and shot at Kim Kye-Sik. They brought him to the police station for investigation. Ryu Soo-Yeol wanted to find out the person behind the Drug Ring. Andrei Kang killed all the policemen in the bus while he was on the way to detention centre. His men picked him up shortly after escaped from the police.

Lee Hee-Gyeom has been assigned to work at Ryu Soo-Yeol. Ryu Soo-Yeol’s superior recommended him to see a psychologist, Shin Joo-Hyuk. The psychologist was very observant and professional. He felt very uneasy with him.

There was a young woman who came to the police station to surrender. She told the police that she killed her own father. Baek Young-Joo used to be beaten up by her father. She came to see Ryu Soo-Yeol once to catch her father, but he did not really pay more attention to her. She recorded her video of the process of killing her father in her laptop. Ryu Soo-Yeol and his teammates was shocked about it.

Ryu Soo-Yeol asked another psychologist that he used to see. The psychologist told him that she has been controlled by someone else to commit the crime. After interviewing her friends and teachers, they suspected that Shin Joo-Hyuk was in connection with her case. Ryu Soo-Yeol confronted with YY and asked him about her. Shin Joo-Hyuk showed him the video recorded on the day they met. It turned out that she refused to accept helps from Shin Joo-Hyuk.  As she collapsed in the police station, she has been sent to hospital for treatment. Ryu Soo-Yeol visited her at the hospital. She refused to tell him who was behind it. in fact, she kept asking what date is today.

One day, she escaped from the hospital. She came to Shin Joo-Hyuk and stabbed on him with a knife. Luckily, there was a boy, Shim Jung-Hoon stopped by at Shin Joo-Hyuk’s office. He called the ambulance to send him to hospital. Ryu Soo-Yeol came to Shin Joo-Hyuk’s office. He checked on his laptop and found out the destination that she went to. Ryu Soo-Yeol went there and realised that it was his old house address. He found she at one of the abandoned houses. She killed herself in front of him. Ryu Soo-Yeol wondered perhaps he could be the target that they were looking for.

Oh Kyung-Tae managed to discover the password and ID that she used to upload her video at the dark website. Ryu Soo-Yeol logged in the website. He was surprised when the person who communicated with him knew his old name. he suddenly had a headache. He recalled a little bit about his past. He was not sure, but it seems like he killed his own father. He talked the issues with Yum Geun-Soo. Yum Geun-Soo explained to him how their subconscious worked in their brain.

Ryu Soo-Yeol checked his files for the past few years that was regarding the case that involved yellow raincoat. He finally found a similar case. He talked to person that involved in the case. He was shocked when he talked to Sung Bok-Joon. It seems like he has memorised the answers when he talked to him. Later, Ryu Soo-Yeol found a box of letters that was sent by the same person, Jung Yoon-Ho. Those letters were the words that the person spoke to him. Sung Bok-Joon refused to tell him. In fact, he attacked him. Suddenly, Ryu Soo-Yeol’s subconscious has been triggered. He remembered that he used to have a friend, Jung Yoon-Ho. Jung Yoon-Ho also faced the similar family issue like him. Jung Yoon-Ho made a deal with Ryu Soo-Yeol that he will kill his father for his sake. On the other hand, Ryu Soo-Yeol will kill his father too.

Ryu Soo-Yeol went back home. He wanted to ask his foster mother about his past. When he reached home, he realised that she was missing. He and his brother looked for her everywhere. Ryu Soo-Yeol knew that she had Alzheimer's disease when he saw a bunch of medicine in her cupboard. When his mother was normal, she asked him to ask her everything about him before her memory faded. Ryu Soo-Yeol asked her when did she found him and how was his condition.  His mother just told him what she saw. Ryu Soo-Yeol’s biological father used to beat him.  However, his father passed away due to house on fire.

After Baek Young-Joo’s incident, Ryu Soo-Yeol and Oh Kyung-Tae focused on Shim Jung-Hoon. They questioned him whether did he know about Baek Young-Joo. Oh Kyung-Tae followed Shim Jung-Hoon as he found something fishy about him. Shim Jung-Hoon found his brother being beaten at his house. However, he has his alibi that he was stealing money at the restaurant that he used to work. Ryu Soo-Yeol questioned Shim Jung-Hoon who was behind it. He refused to answer him. Oh Kyung-Tae discovered that there was a woman, Ki So-Yeon who appeared wherever Shim Jung-Hoon went. Ryu Soo-Yeol suspected that Ki So-Yeon was the one who attacked Shim Jung-Hoon’s brother as they found the evident inside manhole. When Ryu Soo-Yeol was looking to find her, she was in danger and sent to the hospital for treatment. Ryu Soo-Yeol wondered what was going on.

Ryu Soo-Yeol suddenly realised that Baek Young-Joo and Ki So-Yeon made a deal with one another to kill their respective enemy. Ryu Soo-Yeol quickly looked for Baek Young-Joo to stop him from killing another person. He found Baek Young-Joo, but Baek Young-Joo accidentally stabbed him.

Ryu Soo-Yeol talked to Jung Yoon-Ho at the dark website. Jung Yoon-Ho congratulated him for guessing his name correctly. They will meet up with one another very soon. Ryu Soo-Yeol nearly caught Jung Yoon-Ho at the hospital. However, he has been tricked by him. Jung Yoon-Ho asked another person to impersonate him.

Boss Yong instructed Andrei Kang to look into Baek Young-Joo case. They wanted to find out who was the one who sold drugs to her. Since Baek Young-Joo was involved in drug cases related to them, their business has been badly affected. Andrei Kang found the unnamed person who sold the drug. However, Shin Joo-Hyuk and the person killed Andrei Kang. Lastly, he also killed the unnamed person. Boss Yong was very angry and wanted to take revenge for Andrei Kang. She asked Lee Hee-Gyeom who was after she for the drug case. Lee Hee-Gyeom offered her to join hand with police so that they can find out who was the one who killed Andrei Kang. Lee Hee-Gyeom also agreed to testify as a witness.

Ryu Soo-Yeol talked to Shim Jung-Hoon to find out who was Jung Yoon-Ho. Shim Jung-Hoon testified that Shin Joo-Hyuk was the one who threatened him to kill person in order to be free from misery. Ryu Soo-Yeol purposely told Shin Joo-Hyuk that he has dual personality. Shin Joo-Hyuk also wanted to test him whether did he recognise him. At night, Ryu Soo-Yeol and K sneaked into his office and stole his patient recording. Ryu Soo-Yeol shared his finding and found out that Shim Jung-Hoon was a psychopath.

On the other hand, Shin Joo-Hyuk handed over the knife to Ryu Soo-Yeol’s godmother. He claimed that Ryu Soo-Yeol used to kill someone. Ryu Soo-Yeol’s godmother who has Alzheimer's disease started to doubt about Ryu Soo-Yeol. She wanted to protect him. Suddenly, someone has lodged a report against Ryu Soo-Yeol. The police found the knife in his house. Ryu Soo-Yeol has been sent to police station. He has been determined to have mental issue. Ryu Soo-Yeol has been hospitalised in mental hospital for a couples of months. He has been pretending to be crazy so that the nurses and doctors let down their guard. He took the opportunity to escape from the hospital.

Ryu Soo-Yeol went straight to Yum Geun-Soo’s office. He talked to Yum Geun-Soo what does a person afraid the most. Yum Geun-Soo told him that Jung Yoon-Ho might be afraid of someone who spilled out his true identity. Ryu Soo-Yeol tried to prove that Shin Joo-Hyuk was actually Jung Yoon-Ho. After checking the old files, Yum Geun-Soo realised that the unnamed guy was the real Shin Joo-Hyuk. Before he informed Ryu Soo-Yeol, Shin Joo-Hyuk stabbed him.
