Park Seo-reo-yi wishes to become a police officer. He likes to run
and listen to the music. He was transferred to a new school. During the 1st day
of the school, he punched the son of his father’s boss (Jang Dae-Hee) because
Jang Geun-Won for bullying another classmate. Because he refused to apologize
to Jang Geun-Won, he got expel from the school and his father also resigned
from the company. Park Seo-reo-yi was sorry for his father. They decided to run
a restaurant business.
Oh Soo-A was an orphan. She grew up in an orphanage. She was
closed to Park Seo-reo-yi’s father. Oh Soo-A is one of Park Seo-reo-yi’s
classmate. Park Seo-reo-yi’s father also sponsored her for her study. She was
touched and promised his father that she will payback for him. One day, the
Park Seo-reo-yi’s father met an accident. It was caused by Jang Geun-Won. Oh
Soo-A tried to calm Park Seo-reo-yi not to act recklessly and let the police to
take care of his father’s case. He did not listen to her. He looked for Jang
Geun-Won everywhere. He viciously beats Jang Geun-Won when he found him. Oh
Soo-A called the police to stop Park Seo-reo-yi to kill Jang Geun-Won.
Park Seo-reo-yi was being arrested by the police to detention
centre. Jang Dae-Hee once again asked Park Seo-reo-yi to apologize to his son.
Park Seo-reo-yi refused to apologize because he thought that his son should be
the one who apologize to him. Jang Dae-Hee bribed the police officer to forge
the document so that Park Seo-reo-yi can be in prison. The court sentenced Park
Seo-reo-yi guilty for attempting to murder Jang Geun-Won. He was sentenced for
two years in prison. On the other hand, Jang Dae-Hee offered Oh Soo-A a
scholarship to support her living and study expenses. Oh Soo-A asked him will
he asked for any return. Jang Geun-Won begged his father to set Park Seo-reo-yi
free because he was the one who killed his father. Jang Dae-Hee did not want
his son to go to jail to admit his mistakes. He taught his son to be selfish
and treat others without respect. Oh Soo-A came to visit Park Seo-reo-yi in
jail. Through their conversation, asked Park Seo-reo-yi about his future plan.
She also asked him if he wanted to revenge against Jang Dae-Hee and Jang
Geun-Won. Park Seo-reo-yi decided to study and do some reading in the jail. He
also barely obtained a deep-sea certificate. He wanted to run a restaurant like
his father.
Two years later, he was released from the jail. He received a
letter from Oh Soo-A. She introduced him to come to Itaewon City during
Halloween Day. He came by and she was happy to see him. Park Seo-reo-yi told
her that he will open a restaurant in Itaewon after 7 years. Oh Soo-A did not
believe him. 7 years later, Oh Soo-A worked in Jang Dae-Hee’s company. She was
an excellent employee who is good at her work. She was surprised to meet Park
Seo-reo-yi in Itaewon with his restaurant under renovation. She knew that he
has fulfilled his wishes. Seo-reo-yi faced an issue with his restaurant.
Although his restaurant is at the strategic place, he was unable to get any
customer. Park Seo-reo-yi has 2 employees: Choi Seung-Kwon and Ma Hyun-Yi
(cook). Jo Yi-Seo is a famous social media influencer. She earned money by
posting photo and video on her social media. She took a video regarding her
classmate who bullied another girl. The video went viral in the social media.
That classmate’s parent came to see her and asked her to take off the video. Jo
Yi-Seo did not want. Just before Jo Yi-Seo who slapped her, Park Seo-reo-yi
stopped her. She escaped from him by lying to him that that woman killed her
father.
Park Seo-reo-yi was struggle to find customer. He saved Jo Yi-Seo
when her friend Jang Geun-Soo suddenly stopped his bike. Jang Geun-Soo and Jo
Yi-Seo brought him to the hospital for treatment. Park Seo-reo-yi asked them to
come to his restaurant, Danbam if they were sorry for what they did to him.
Jang Geun-Soo and Jo Yi-Seo met a friend at the club. After clubbing, they
decided to have a meal. They were chased by the restaurant ran by Jangga Co due
to she was underage. Jo Yi-Seo then suggested to go to Danbam. Choi Seung-Kwon
checked their ID while Park Seo-reo-yi was away to survey how other pubs are
running their business. Choi Seung-Kwon allowed them to have their meal in the
restaurant. Oh Soo-A wanted to report to the police about the underage
children, however she wanted to protect Park Seo-reo-yi. However, Jo Yi-Seo’s
classmate reported it to the police.
The police came by and summoned them. Jang Geun-Soo was Jang
Geun-Won’s younger brother. Jang Geun-Won assaulted Park Seo-reo-yi in front of
Jo Yi-Seo. Jo Yi-Seo knew that something has been between them. However, she
did not ask much about it. Seo-reo-yi’s business has been suspended for two
months. He did not blame Choi Seung-Kwon for being careless and did not blame
Jo Yi-Seo and Jang Geun-Soo for taking alcohol at his restaurant due to
underage. He in fact took this opportunity to figure out how to make his
business better. He always read Jang Geun-Won’s biography in order to learn the
way he runs business.
Jo Yi-Seo felt she was in debt with Park Seo-reo-yi. She wanted to
help him to run his business. She also started to find him interesting. Oh
Soo-A knew that she was secretly in love with Park Seo-reo-yi. She warned her
that he will not change his mind easily. Jo Yi-Seo suspected that Oh Soo-A was
the one who called the police when she accidently told her about the police. As
far as Jo Yi-Seo knew, Park Seo-reo-yi never told Oh Soo-A about her. Oh Soo-A
admitted that she was the one who called the police to Park Seo-reo-yi. He did
not angry or scolded her. He just felt a bit disappointed.
Jang Dae-Hee asked Oh Soo-A whether she will choose him or Park
Seo-reo-yi. She was in stress because she did not want to betray her friend and
also betray her boss. She released her stress against Park Seo-reo-yi. Oh Soo-A
asked Park Seo-reo-yi whether she can join their team dinner and he allowed it.
Park Seo-reo-yi told his team members that he wanted to open franchise for his
pub in near future. He asked Jo Yi-Seo’s opinion on his pub so that he can
improvised it. Jo Yi-Seo confessed to Soo-A that she liked her boss and she
will destroy her if she is her obstacle.
Soo-A reported to Jang Dae-Hee about Seo-reo-yi’s business. Jang
Dae-Hee was very concerned about his business because he afraid that he might
become their threat. They always keep an eye on him. Soo-A told Park Seo-reo-yi
not to like her anymore. She did not want to hurt him.
Jo Yi-Seo’s mother kicked her out from house because she found out
that she was not going to study at university. Jo Yi-Seo took her luggage and
rent some place to stay at the moment. She met Park Seo-reo-yi coincidently who
jogged during at night. He told her that he needed her to make his business
bigger.
Jo Yi-Seo helped Park Seo-reo-yi to make a deal with the TV
station in order to marketing their pub. Park Seo-reo-yi told Soo-A about it.
When Park Seo-reo-yi arrived at the TV station, he was frustrated to meet Jang
Geun-Won there. He thought that Soo-A betrayed him again. When Jo Yi-Seo told
him the truth that Soo-A lied to him for calling the police to cause his
business suspended. Park Seo-reo-yi apologized to her and promised her
that he will destroy Jang Dae-Hee’s business. Park Seo-reo-yi then invested
large amount of money in Jang Dae-Hee’s business. Jang Dae-Hee was shocked when
he found out that Park Seo-reo-yi bought many shares from his company. He went
to Seo-reo-yi’s pub to visit him in person. Jang Dae-Hee was surprised that
Jang Geun-Soo (his second son) worked at Seo-reo-yi’s pub.
Jang Dae-Hee, Jang Geun-Won and Soo-A had their meal at Danbam.
Park Seo-reo-yi told his employees to do their best in order to serve the best
food for them so that they can’t find fault on them. In order to revenge
against Park Seo-reo-yi, Jang Dae-Hee decided to buy up his building. Jang
Dae-Hee threatened him that he will buy every building to Park Seo-reo-yi going
to rent in order to destroy his business. Jo Yi-Seo was unhappy with Jang
Dae-Hee’s action because it was the area where most people came by. Jang
Geun-Soo saw her unhappy with him. He talked to her about resigning and he will
talk to his father to let go of Danbam. Jo Yi-Seo was glad that he made this
decision. She told Park Seo-reo-yi that Jang Geun-Soo has something to tell
him. When Park Seo-reo-yi asked about her opinion regarding his resignation,
she was happy that Jang Geun-Soo made that move. Park Seo-reo-yi was
disappointed with her attitude and scolded her.
Toni was the employee that they hired recently. He was a Korean
but he did not look like one. He looked more like an African. Jo Yi-Seo hired
him because she thought that he can speak English. However, the truth was he
was unable to speak English. All the staffs except Jo Yi-Seo knew about it. Jo
Yi-Seo did not stand by his side when the pub manager disallowed Toni to enter
the pub due to his skin colour. Toni was disappointed. Park Seo-reo-yi wrote on
their wall with spray in order to warn them not to be racist.
Soo-A talked to Jo Yi-Seo that Park Seo-reo-yi does not change.
She advised her to follow his action if she wanted to work with him. Jo Yi-Seo
apologized to Park Seo-reo-yi and Toni about her reckless action. She also will
help Toni to look for his father. Jo Yi-Seo attended a seminar at Jangga Co.
Jang Dae-Hee met her and he wanted to hire her due to her ability.
When Ms Kang and Jo Yi-Seo asked about the alternative plan, Park
Seo-reo-yi told them that he will buy a building. He pulled out all his fund in
Jang Dae-Hee’s business to buy up a building at the alley for his business to
continue. One old woman who is a loan shark, told them that they made a wrong
decision to buy at that area, because most of the business here unable to run
their business in long run. All the staffs work hard to decorate the pub. Jo
Yi-Seo also did some marketing on their pub. However, they don’t have much
customer to come by. The old woman told them that the neighbourhood there was
dead. Park Seo-reo-yi decided to help other restaurant and pub with their
business in order to live up the neighbourhood. He helped them fixed their menu
and table arrangement. He even repaired their store too. Jo Yi-Seo has no idea
why he did so. She felt that he should focus on his pub rather than other
business.
Jang Dae-Hee found Seo-reo-yi’s supplier, Oh Byung-Heon. He
offered him a great deal with condition that he has to cancel all other
customers order and only supply exclusively for Jangga Co. Oh Byung-Heon was
the detective who investigate the case regarding the death of Mr Park. He
resigned and became the supplier of Park Seo-reo-yi. He did not receive his
offer. He in fact told him about his past identity. Jang Dae-Hee was shocked to
hear that.
Jang Geun-Won wanted to impress his father. He met with Jo Yi-Seo
and offered her a great deal in order to persuade her to work in Jangga Co.
Throughout their conversation, Jo Yi-Seo recorded all the conversation when
Jang Geun-Won confessed that he killed Mr Park by accident. Jo Yi-Seo used her
recorded clip to threaten him. She never planned to work with Jangga Co. She
wanted to destroy Jangga Co who messed up with Park Seo-reo-yi. Park Seo-reo-yi
rescued Jo Yi-Seo from being hit by Jang Geun-Won. They also called the police
to catch him. Jo Yi-Seo uploaded the voice clip in social media.
Jangga Co. share was seriously dropped after they spread the news
of Jang Geun-Won who involved in hit-and-run incident 10 years ago. Jang
Dae-Hee wanted to protect his son from being send to jail. His attorney assured
that the voice clip in the social media cannot prove Jang Geun-Won innocent.
Soo-A suggested Jang Dae-Hee to dismiss his son so that he can protect his
position in the company. Jang Geun-Soo was sad to see the news about his
family. Park Seo-reo-yi told him straight forward that he will do anything he
can to destroy Jangga Co because Jang Dae-Hee and Jang Geun-Won were his enemy.
Park Seo-reo-yi, Jo Yi-Seo, Ms Kang and Lee Ho-Jin discussed about
dismissal of Jang Dae-Hee from the company. Park Seo-reo-yi was fully support
Ms Kang to lead the company. While Jang Geun-Won head off to prosecutor office,
Jang Dae-Hee held a press conference to express his thought about dismissal of
his son. He admitted that his son was involved the case. Jang Geun-Won saw the
news in the car. He rushed back to the company and saw his father outside the
company. He was disappointed that his father abandoned him. The court ruled
that Jang Geun-Won was found guilty and he was sent to jail as a punishment.
Park Seo-reo-yi, Jo Yi-Seo, Ms Kang and Lee Ho-Jin was shocked to
see the news because they thought that Jang Dae-Hee will protect his son no
matter what. Their plan to dismiss him from the company was failed. Ms Kang was
being transfer to Pajin office. Ms Kang told Park Seo-reo-yi that his father
was the one who invented the signature food that made Jangga Co successful
until now. Park Seo-reo-yi was shocked to hear that.
Park Seo-reo-yi discussed with his fellow staffs about the name of
the incorporate. Choi Seung-Kwon suggested name of "Itaewon Class".
Park Seo-reo-yi liked this name. After they discussed, they decided to use the
short form - IC Co.
They also joined the TV show competition for the Best Pub in the
country. Ma Hyun-yi defeated Jangga Co Head chief twice. Jang Dae-Hee scolded
Soo-Ah and Jang Geun-Soo for their failure to protect the first place. Since
Danbam won the cooking contest, they received many enquiries about franchising.
Park Seo-reo-yi wanted to open the pub one by one instead of open pub in
multiple area at once. However, he believed in Jo Yi-Seo as she assured that
she was confident to manage the pubs. Soo-Ah and Jang Geun-Soo joined them to
celebrate the victory of Ma Hyun-yi. They played a game to reveal the truth.
When Jang Geun-Soo asked Park Seo-reo-yi whether he has feeling for Jo Yi-Seo,
he said nope. He also told them that he liked Oh Soo-A. Jo Yi-Seo was hurt and
she ran out of the restaurant. Park Seo-reo-yi looked for her and asked her why
she act like that. She confessed her feeling to him. He was shocked but he
wasn't able to accept her love.
Park Seo-reo-yi put up poster to find Tony's father. The police
fined him for illegal putting up the poster. After some incident happen, it
turned out that Kim Soon-Rye - the old woman was Tony's grandmother. She told
him that his father already passed away. Tony did not blame her. In fact, he
was taking care of her in the hospital.
Park Seo-reo-yi demanded 5 billion won from the JM Investment
company who wished to help him to franchise Danbam. Later, other small
investors also interested to invest in their business. They expanded their
office and pubs in all over the city. However, one day, JM investment company
withdrawn their investment. All other investors also asked for withdrawal from
Park Seo-reo-yi. He was stress out. Jo Yi-Seo kept looking for investors
to invest their business. They found out that Kim Soon-Rye was one of their
investors. They seek help from her. She will invest in their company provided
that they can win in the final round in The Best Pub TV show.
Before the TV show began, the news about Ma Hyun-yi transgender
was leaked in the social media. She was shocked and wanted to stay hidden. With
the encouragement words from Park Seo-reo-yi and Jo Yi Seo, she decided to be
strong and continued the contest. She won in the end. Jo Yi Seo slapped Jang
Geun-Soo in his office. She found out that he was the one who blackmailed her.
Park Seo-reo-yi decided to expand his business in oversea. 4 years
later, they came back to Seoul. They have a huge building for IC Co. Jang
Geun-Soo also came back from oversea. Jang Dae-Hee sickness became serious. He
only left half year to live. Jang Geun-Soo did not take care of his father. He
was trained by his father to be just like him. Jang Geun-Won released from the
jail. He met Soo-Ah and his father. He has other ulterior.
Jo Yi-Seo did not give up on Park Seo-reo-yi. She asked him to buy
a necklace for her. They decided to replace her with Mr Yang position in Jangga
Co. She met many shareholders in order to gain their support. However, she
overworked and passed out when they were on the way to attend the shareholder
meeting. Park Seo-reo-yi was worried about her and asked her to stay at
hospital. Park Seo-reo-yi bought the necklace to her as he realised that he
can't stop thinking of her. He also admitted that he like her when Jang
Geun-Soo asked him about it.
When he went back to the hospital, he realised that her was
missing and the room was untidy. He suspected someone has kidnapped her. He
received a message and went to the requested destination. Jang Geun-Soo
followed him as well. When they reached there, they saw Jang Geun-Won. Jang
Geun-Won instructed gangster to use the car to hit them. When the car was about
to hit Jang Geun-Soo, Park Sae-Ro-Yi pushed him away and he then hit by the car
and collapsed down the hill. Jang Geun-Soo quickly called the ambulance and
informed Choi Seung-Kwon that Park Sae-Ro-Yi was in hurt and Jo Yi-Seo was
being kidnapped. When the police and ambulance arrived, Jang Geun-Won and his
gangsters left the place by abducting Yi-Seo and Jang Geun-Soo.
Choi Seung-Kwon checked nearby CCTV footage. He found out that
Jang Geun-Won and his ex-boss gangster was involved in this. He informed the
ex-police about it. He also visited his ex-boss in order to confirm whether he
was involved in this. His ex-boss refused to see him. When Park Sae-Ro-Yi woke
up, he received a message from Jang Geun-Won that his father knew where they
were. Soo-Ah once again stopped him because she afraid that he might die if he
went there. Park Sae-Ro-Yi told her that he has to save Yi-Seo because he loved
her. Park Sae-Ro-Yi and Choi Seung-Kwon went to meet Jang Dae-Hee. Park
Sae-Ro-Yi kneed on him to beg him to let him know where they were located. They
quickly went to the destination. They saw Yi-Seo ran on the road. She was being
chased by gangsters and Jang Geun-Won. Park Sae-Ro-Yi and Choi Seung-Kwon fight
with them whereas she seeks help from police.
Finally, police arrived. Jang Geun-Won was imprisoned. Soo-Ah
became the whistle-blower to reveal the dirty side of Jangga Co to prosecutor.
The prosecutors investigated the case which involved slush fund, embezzlement
and bribery. Jangga Co reputation was tarnished and nobody was willing to
invest in the company except IC Co. Other franchises were demand investment
withdrawal. Jang Dae-Hee visited Danbam and apologized to Park Sae-Ro-Yi for
his mistakes. He also kneed on him. Park Sae-Ro-Yi insisted to buy his company
but he will let Ms Kang to run it.
