Yoo Se-Poong is an acupuncturist for the royal family. King Hyun awarded him a title “Divine Acupuncture” with his excellent acupuncture to cure the people. Jo Tae-Hak and Royal Physician Shin Gwi-Sook disliked him because he gained all the praises from the King. One day, King Hyun suffered from serious illnesses. Yoo Se-Poong has been called to examine him. Yoo Se-Poong was hesitated as the King might be poisoned and his acupuncture might accelerate the poison in his body. Due to the pressure from Jo Tae-Hak and the King also wishes to reduce his pain, he decided to give it a try. It turned out that King Hyun lost too much of blood and passed away. Minister of Personnel Yoo Hoo-Myung (Yoo Se-Poong’s father) investigated the case in secret. He found Court Maid Wol who told him that she was the one who put the herbs for the King, she never thought that it was poison. Yoo Hoo-Myung tried to find the source of herbs. Eventually, he has been killed by Royal Inspector Jo Shin-Woo.

Yoo Se-Poong was in prison. He was really upset when he heard of the news of his father passed away. The new King released him from prison due to his contribution for the nation. However, he will be banned from entering Hanyang. The King’s intention was to keep him alive so that he can investigate the death of King Hyun. After being released from prison, Yoo Se-Poong went to hill. Seo Eun-Woo stopped him from falling off the hill. She told him to continue living and save more people as a physician. Yoo Se-Poong and his servant, Man-Bok went to an outskirt village. They have not much else to sell to continue their living. They saw a tightrope walker who fell off from the rope. Tightrope walker has been sent to Gyesu Clinic for treatment.

Suddenly, there was some incident happened in that village. Yoo Se-Poong was unable to perform acupuncture after encountered that incident. Gye Ji-Han saw that and decided to help the villager. He also scolded Yoo Se-Poong for failing to become a physician. He left right away. At night, he saw a woman who tried to kill herself by drowning in the sea. He quickly rescued her and brought her to Gyesu Clinic. Gye Ji-Han treated her. He stopped Yoo Se-Poong from leaving. He wanted him to pay for her medicine. However, Yoo Se-Poong do not have money. As a deal, Yoo Se-Poong have to stay and work with him in order to pay off his debt. Yoo Se-Poong realised that she was the woman who encouraged him to continue living. He wondered what had happened to her. The next morning, the woman ran away. Yoo Se-Poong has no other choice but to work for Gye Ji-Han.

Gyesu Clinic is running by Gye Ji-Han. There are Granny Lady Nam-Hae, Gye Ib-Bun and Jang-Goon who lived together with him. Gye Ib-Bun was terrible at cooking. Granny has Amnesia. Jang-Goon is good at memory and organisation. Gyesu Clinic was a mess for Gye Ji-Han. Yoo Se-Poong improvised the system and kept records for all the patients. It made it easier for Gye Ji-Han and Yoo Se-Poong to examine the patients. Gye Ji-Han wanted to make Yoo Se-Poong become confident again with his needle. He asked him to treat the tightrope walker. Because he was no longer able to walk on the rope anymore, Yoo Se-Poong managed to make him confident again by imagining himself walking on the rope.

One day, Yoo Se-Poong and Gye Ji-Han went to Seo Eun-Woo's mother-in-law’s house to check her condition. After that, Seo Eun-Woo's servant came and asked Yoo Se-Poong to check on her master. Yoo Se-Poong was shocked to see so much blood on the floor as Seo Eun-Woo cut her wrist. Yoo Se-Poong and Gye Ji-Han quickly stopped the blood and asked her to take a rest. Yoo Se-Poong wondered what was going on. He also realised that her mother-in-law’s reaction was a bit strange. After they left, her mother-in-law locked her up in the store room.

The other day, Seo Eun-Woo was brought to Gyesu Clinic. Yoo Se-Poong realised that she has been poison. He asked Gye Ji-Han for help. Her mother-in-law stopped by Gyesu Clinic and asked Gye Ji-Han to surrender her daughter-in-law. However, Gye Ji-Han refused to. They also chased her away from the clinic. Yoo Se-Poong tried to understand her, but she refused to take any medicine. Gye Ji-Han told him not to do anything. She will tell when the time comes. Yoo Se-Poong let Granny to accompany her. She told Granny about her past. She was married to a man. However, the next day, her husband passed away. She never had a chance to see her husband at all. Due to the death of her husband, her mother-in-law pressured her and made her sacrificed herself so that the government will grant them her loyalty towards her husband. Yoo Se-Poong listened to her story from outside.

Yoo Se-Poong found out that her in-law was trying to kill her. He saw the similar herbs surrounding the house. Although they look similar, both herbs cannot mix together. He asked to her in-law to release her, or else he will report the case to the magistrate. Her mother-in-law decided to let her go.

Yoo Se-Poong brought Seo Eun-Woo for a walk. They had a fun moment together. On the way back, they met Royal Inspector Jo Shin-Woo. He was Seo Eun-Woo’s brother and adopted son of Jo Tae-Hak. He has a bad impression towards Yoo Se-Poong who stayed beside a married woman. Seo Eun-Woo quickly ended the conversation and left with Yoo Se-Poong.

Granny carried a bag with her and ran to her old house. She placed flowers and food for her son. Yoo Se-Poong followed her and realised that her relationship with her son was not good. In order to make them opened up with one another, he decided to bring Seo Eun-Woo and Granny for a walk. He also invited her son to wait for them. There was a heart-warming scene whereby Granny expressed her love for her son. 

There was rumour about Gumiho who killed and took away livers from people. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo were into this case. Yoo Se-Poong was surprised that she was expert in performing autopsy of the corpse. She also shared her experience of conducting the autopsy. One night, they found Yeon Hee who was at the scene of murder case. Everyone thought that she was the murderer. Yeon Hee denied it right away. Gye Ji-Han believed that she was sleepwalking at that time. She has no intention to kill two men. She was unable to remember a thing when she was sleepwalking. Seo Eun-Woo believed that she saw something that night. They wanted to make her recall what had happened that night. Seo Eun-Woo also discovered an arrow piece in the corpse. She was looking for that arrow in order to catch the culprit. On the other hand, Yoo Se-Poong believed that someone among the patient who knew about Yeon Hee’s sleepwalking condition. He filtered out the possible culprit.

Seo Eun-Woo's brother-in-law and Im Soon-Man were scheming to get favour from Jo Tae-Hak. Seo Eun-Woo's brother-in-law worried that Seo Eun-Woo might continue to dig the case. He asked Im Soon-Man to settle her. Im Soon-Man came to County Magistrate and said Seo Eun-Woo was not supposed to be there. Seo Eun-Woo followed the flow and agreed to go back to her in-law’s house. At night, she sneaked into her brother-in-law’s room to find the arrow. Unfortunately, he discovered her. He tried to kill her. Luckily, Yoo Se-Poong and Man-Bok came to rescue her. Seo Eun-Woo's brother-in-law was found guilty and received punishment. Seo Eun-Woo's mother-in-law scolded Seo Eun-Woo for taking away all her family members. Yoo Se-Poong cannot stand anymore and revealed the cause of death of Seo Eun-Woo’s husband, who suffered from stomach cancer. Seo Eun-Woo was surprised to hear that and decided to cut all ties with her in-law’s family.

Yoo Se-Poong asked Seo Eun-Woo whether she wanted to become a physician. After the incident, she decided to follow his footstep to become a physician to contribute to the society.

Jo Tae-Hak instructed Jo Shin-Woo to look into Yoo Se-Poong. Then, Jo Shin-Woo ordered Im Soon-Man to look for him. However, Im Soon-Man thought Yoo Se-Poong was lousy physician, so he could not find a man named Yoo Se-Poong. A court lady spilled blood and collapsed in front of the King Chamber. The court lady told the King that there was a Court Maid who knew the poison. The King covered up her death and decided to investigate the case in secret.

Jung Hyo-Yeon and Lee Gil Soo came to Gyesu Clinic. Lee Gil Soo did not allow Yoo Se-Poong to touch her. Yoo Se-Poong simply asked her symptom and prescribed her some medicine. Both of them left the clinic. There was a servant named Gae-Ban. He tried to carry Jung Hyo-Yeon on his back. However, Lee Gil Soo stopped him and chased her away. Man-Bok saw them from far. He wondered what was going on.

Man-Bok went to the deep forest to look for medicine to cure Yoo Se-Poong. He encountered Gae-Ban and Jung Hyo-Yeon in the wood. Gae-Ban was trying to run away with Jung Hyo-Yeon, but she was too tired to move on. Man-Bok stopped him and asked him to release her. He punched his stomach. Man-Bok fought with him. Suddenly, someone hit his back and he collapsed. By the time he woke up, Gae-Ban’s body was beside him. The guards arrested him.

Yoo Se-Poong, Seo Eun-Woo and Gye Ji-Han came to the magistrate. They examine the corpse. They believed that Man-Bok could not be a murderer. Gae-Ban was strangled to death. They went to the Lord Jung’s house. Gye Ji-Han consoled Lord Jung for losing his servant. However, Lord Jung did not seem to care about Gae-Ban’s life. On the other hand, Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo visited Jung Hyo-Yeon. Lee Gil Soo was doing all the talking and stopping her from talking to them. Seo Eun-Woo noticed that Jung Hyo-Yeon called Gae-Ban as Ban. She wondered why she called him this way.

As challenged by Lee Gil Soo, Seo Eun-Woo is determined to learn medicine with Yoo Se-Poong. She wanted to master the skill as soon as possible so that she can examine her. Yoo Se-Poong taught her and studied with her for a couple of days.

Due to lack of evidence, Jo Shin-Woo decided to close the case as soon as possible. He gave them 3 days to find new evidence regarding the case. Gye Ji-Han planned to visit Man-Bok at the prison and cooked delicious food for him. At the same time, he also ordered Lady Nam-Hae to cook more food in order to make it like holding a feast.

Yoo Se-Poong, Seo Eun-Woo, Lady Nam-Hae and Jang-Goon came to Lord Jung’s house. Lady Nam-Hae and Jang-Goon entered the house. Lady Nam-Hae cooked and invited other servants to try her food. On the other hand, Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo sneaked into the house. They went to Jung Hyo-Yeon’s room. They heard the conversation between Jung Hyo-Yeon and Lee Gil Soo. They believed that there was something between them. They went to the store room to look for evidence. Seo Eun-Woo found a name tag with the name “Ban”. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo talked to Jung Hyo-Yeon. She also revealed that she might be the one who killed him. Suddenly, Lee Gil Soo showed up and stopped her from talking. He also intended to bring away from them.

Yoo Se-Poong gathered everyone for discussion. They came out with a conclusion that Lee Gil Soo was the real culprit who killed Gae-Ban. Lee Gil Soo took Jung Hyo-Yeon as a hostage and bring her to the forest. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo visited Jo Shin-Woo and asked for his help. Initially, he did not want to help them for personal favour. However, he saw Yoo Se-Poong buried Gae-Ban and paid his last respect for him. He decided to borrow them horses. He also mentioned that if they failed to bring the evidence within stipulated time, he was going to execute the punishment on Man-Bok.

Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo               managed to rescue Jung Hyo-Yeon and arrested Lee Gil Soo. They brought them to Jo Shin-Woo. Jung Hyo-Yeon stood as witness, revealed the whole incident in order to clear Man-Bok’s name. Man-Bok found not guilty and released.

Jo Shin-Woo went to visit Seo Eun-Woo. He intended to propose to her with flowers. However, he decided to hide it when she told him that she was going to stay at Gyesu Clinic to learn medicine. Jo Shin-Woo respected her decision.

There was a child who was sent to Gyesu Clinic. Seo Eun-Woo noticed the bruises on his body. Yoo Se-Poong checked his condition. He was surprised to see that the child, Seok Cheol was suffering dehydration. There are bruises all over his body too. He asked the servant who did that to the child. The servant kept his mouth quiet and refused to reveal. After the child’s condition became better, Yoo Se-Poong decided to send the child back home personally. His intention was to find out the reason why the child has been abused. Jang-Goon lends his clothes to Seok Cheol and also shared his favourite food with him. Jang-Goon was really happy there. However, Seok Cheol refused to go back home.

Seok Cheol was adoptive child of Ra-Hab. When Yoo Se-Poong arrived at his home, he witnessed Lord Cho scolded his sons and threw away their stationeries. His sons glared at Seok Cheol with hatred. Madam Jeodonggung gave Yoo Se-Poong money for treatment on Seok Cheol. On the other hand, he also saw his second wife, Ra-Hab who were asking about her son’s condition. Madam Jeodonggung left without a smile. Yoo Se-Poong also saw Seok Cheol’s stepbrothers beat him up.

Yoo Se-Poong started to grow feeling for Seo Eun-Woo. He was amazed by her charm and dedication on reading and learning medicine. He also followed her to the book store.

Seo Eun-Woo asked Jo Shin-Woo for help. Jo Shin-Woo expressed that he was going to Hanyang for official matter. He will help out when he came back. Jo Shin-Woo told Jo Tae-Hak that he has found Yoo Se-Poong. Jo Tae-Hak ordered him to kill Yoo Se-Poong. He told him that Yoo Se-Poong was the King’s childhood friend. The King will summon him back to palace in anytime. In order to cover up the death of late King, Jo Tae-Hak ordered him to Yoo Se-Poong.

At night, Seok Cheol came to Gyesu Clinic again. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo were surprised to see him. Seok Cheol told them that he was thirsty and then collapsed. Later, Ra-Hab came by and asked for Seok Cheol. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo told her that they will send him back after he woke up.

Jo Shin-Woo was planning to kill Yoo Se-Poong at night. He saw him handed some books for Seo Eun-Woo. Jo Shin-Woo was jealous when Yoo Se-Poong looked at her. Jo Shin-Woo was adopted by Seo Eun-Woo’s father since he was young. However, because Seo Eun-Woo’s father decided to marry his daughter to a wealthy family, Jo Shin-Woo was unhappy and confronted with her father. In the end, he decided to become Jo Tae-Hak’s adopted son and gained power.

Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo went to visit Madam Jeodonggung. He checked her pulses. He can tell her illnesses. Seo Eun-Woo asked why she did not seek for physician to cure her illness. She expressed that Lord Cho believed in talisman more than physician. After examining her, Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo looked around to see the children. They saw Seok Cheol has been bullied by his stepbrothers. Madam Jeodonggung came by and only cared for her sons rather than Seok Cheol. At night, Ra-Hab fed Seok Cheol with salt and porridge. Seok Cheol’s condition became worst. A servant went to Gyesu Clinic to seek for help. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo quickly rushed to Lord Cho’s house. Gye Ji-Han was away to Hanyang to visit a friend. He only learnt that Yoo Hoo-Myung (his best friend) passed away right after the late king. At the same time, he also heard that Yoo Se-Poong was the one who killed the late king. He was totally shocked to hear the news. By the time he arrived home, he was told that Seok Cheol was going to die. All of them rushed to see him.

Madam Jeodonggung has been accused of performing sorcery in their house. Lord Cho was extremely angry and locked her up in the store room. Yoo Se-Poong guided Seo Eun-Woo to perform acupuncture on Seok Cheol in order to rescue him. Yoo Se-Poong also made up a story so that they were going to bring Seok Cheol to clinic for treatment. At the same time, he also assigned Gye Ji-Han to check on Lord Cho’s health condition.

Yoo Se-Poong found out the cause of Seok Cheol’s condition. He decided to carry out a plan to catch the culprit. Jang-Goon claimed that he wanted Seok Cheol to stay with them. He also told Yoo Se-Poong that he was saved by Gye Ji-Han from his abusive father. Yoo Se-Poong convinced Gye Ji-Han with his plan. At night, while Ra-Hab prepared the porridge and salt. She brought it to Seok Cheol’s room and forced him to eat. She was surprised when she flipped the blanket and saw Man-Bok was lying on the bed. Yoo Se-Poong, Seo Eun-Woo and Lord Cho witnessed the incident from another room.

Lord Cho was angry and asked why she did that to her son. Ra-Hab claimed that she wanted to gain his love for her. She also tried to frame Madam Jeodonggung for being jealous on her and tried to harm the family. Since Yoo Se-Poong uncovered the truth, Ra-Hab took out a knife and tried to kill him. Seo Eun-Woo quickly stepped in front of him. Fortunately, she wasn’t harm. Ra-Hab was then caught by the guards for further investigation.

In the end, Lord Cho experienced stroke due to not taken care of his health. Madam Jeodonggung decided to leave the house with her sons. Seok Cheol told Yoo Se-Poong that he wanted to become a physician just like him. He wanted to rescue more people. Madam Jeodonggung and his brothers apologised to him for their mistakes. He followed them to Hanyang for study.

Yoo Se-Poong, Seo Eun-Woo, Man-Bok, Granny, Lady Nam-Hae, Gye Ib-Bun and Jang-Goon went to the forest to collect some herbs. Man-bok has been beaten by a snake. As the snake moving towards Seo Eun-Woo, she hit the snake until it died. Everyone thought that Man-Bok was going to die. However, Gye Ji-Han examined him and said that he was not going to die soon. After saying that, he left to treat another patient. Granny told them that the snake was not poisonous at all. All of them rest assured.

Im Soon-Man threatened Gye Ji-Han to pay off the debts of his first lover. He also threatened him that if he failed to pay off the debts, he was going to tell Gye Ib-Bun that she was not his daughter. Im Soon-Man knew that Gye Ji-Han has no money. Therefore, he asked him to sell the clinic to him. Gye Ji-Han refused. In order to save money, Gye Ji-Han restricted everyone’s meal. Everyone was surprised what was going with him. One day, Im Soon-Man came to the clinic and asked for payment. He also trying to tell Gye Ib-Bun about the truth. It turned out that Gye Ib-Bun and everybody knew everything.  Gye Ji-Han spilled out everything when he was drunk. Gye Ji-Han gave him some money and asked him to leave.

Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo were cleaning the herbs by the river. They saw a woman has been captured by the guards. The woman was Jang Yoo-Jung. She was the daughter of the biggest bookstore. Seo Eun-Woo knew her. Jang Yoo-Jung jumped into the water whenever she saw it. The guards have no idea why she reacted this way. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo asked Jo Shin-Woo’s permission to release her so that she can received proper treatment at the clinic. They visited her in-law’s house. They also tried to talk to her. They discovered that she has lost a daughter. Due to the death of her daughter, they believed that she tried to burn a stranger house. That’s why she has been caught. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo tried to make her open and tell them what was going on.

Jang Yoo-Jung finally remembered the incident that she was not the one who put on fire. Seo Eun-Woo discovered that Heo Myung was the true culprit to put fire on her own house and blamed Jang Yoo-Jung fault.  Heo Myung was Kim Gwang- Tae’s mistress. She tried to win his heart so that he can married her. However, Yoo Se-Poong also found out that Heo Myung used a fake identity to get closer to Kim Gwang- Tae. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo helped Jang Yoo-Jung to clear her name. She was glad and she was going to leave there and stay with her brother.

The villagers planted some poisonous herbs in their garden. The kids picked those herbs and mixed them with vegetables and honey. They sold the honey in the market. Therefore, more and more people getting sick. They went to  Gyesu Clinic to look for physician. As they were running out of herbs, they asked the herbs store for more herbs. However, Im Soon-Man heard the news and bought all the herbs and stored in his storage. Gye Ji-Han knew that it was done by Im Soon-Man. They made up a plan to rob Im Soon-Man’s storeroom in order get the herbs. However, the herbs did not work on them. Gye Ji-Han saw the symptoms and realised that it was not a plague but a poisonous herb that caused them illness.

Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo went to see County Magistrate Seo and Jo Shin-Woo. They believed that it was a plague has occurred. However, they did not know what causing a plague to happen. Gye Ji-Han suggested that they should put those with blisters should stayed in a hut village. Yoo Se-Poong thought Gye Ji-Han did not care about the patient. He insisted to take care of them at the hut village. At the same time, he asked Seo Eun-Woo to investigate the source that caused the patient sick. Seo Eun-Woo found the dansacho and handed it to Gye Ji-Han. She told him that she felt sick after taking the honey. Gye Ji-Han saw the symptom on her and told her that she was infected.

Gye Ji-Han went to the hut village and scold Yoo Se-Poong for his rush decision. He asked him to look for other herbs to cure their sickness. Yoo Se-Poong followed his instruction and looked for the herbs. Eventually, he found the herbs and brought them there. In order to test the effectiveness of the herbs, Gye Ji-Han suggested that they should tested with a human body. Without hesitation, Yoo Se-Poong consumed dansacho. He collapsed immediately. Gye Ji-Han quickly prepared the antidote to cure him. Fortunately, he was saved and cured. Gye Ji-Han then only let other patients to take the medicine.

Jo Shin-Woo got infected as well. He tried to kill Yoo Se-Poong but he collapsed. Yoo Se-Poong treated him until he was recovered. He wondered why Jo Shin-Woo tried to kill him when he has nothing to do with him. Jo Shin-Woo did not tell him the reason. He just told him to leave the clinic and go far away. He told him that Jo Tae-Hak was trying to kill him.

Jo Tae-Hak asked Im Soon-Man about Jo Shin-Woo’s doing. He wondered why Jo Shin-Woo did not kill Yoo Se-Poong. Im Soon-Man told him that he saw Jo Shin-Woo was holding a medical knife and he was looking into the case. Jo Tae-Hak summoned Jo Shin-Woo to visit him. Jo Shin-Woo asked him why he must kill Yoo Se-Poong. He did not answer him. Instead, he ordered his man to kill him.

Yoo Se-Poong insisted to go to Hanyang to uncover the truth of the late king. Gye Ji-Han tried to stop him because he witnessed those men who killed his master while studying dansacho. At that time, he hid behind the bush and saw them destroyed all the herbs too. He was lucky that they did not catch him. Gye Ji-Han also told Yoo Se-Poong do not make a rush move and think for the sake of the clinic as well as all the villagers here.

Seo Eun-Woo heard that Yoo Se-Poong was planning to go to Hanyang. She was upset but she did not know what to do. She made an excuse to return his stuff. While she was on her way to clinic, she saw a thief jumping off the from a house. He hit her and she fainted. Yoo Se-Poong and Man-Bok went outside to look for Seo Eun-Woo. Eventually, they saw her lying on the floor. They quickly brought her to the clinic. After she awake, she told them what was happening. Yoo Se-Poong and Jo Shin-Woo worried about her safety. They insisted to visit the house together.

They noticed that Son Moo-Young was lying about last night. They also visited Choi Yeon-Hwa in her room. Yoo Se-Poong was unable to identify the illness. However, their reaction was strange. At night, the thief came to the clinic. Seo Eun-Woo saw him again. However, he quickly escaped after this. The next morning, Jang-Goon realised that nothing was missing. In fact, he found expensive and good quality ginseng there. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo believed that the thief was a professional herb picker. Yoo Se-Poong and Man-Bok went to the mountain to look for him.

Yoo Se-Poong and Man-Bok went to the mountain and found a guy lying on the floor. They brought him to the clinic. Yoo Se-Poong noticed that the man has the same symptoms as Choi Yeon-Hwa. Suddenly, County Magistrate Seo ordered his men to catch him. After asking Choi Yeon-Hwa, she claimed that two of them was couple. However, her mother was totally against their relationship and forced her to marry with a noble man. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo decided to help them. They asked Jo Shin-Woo to release him since he did not steal anything. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo brought them to the bamboo forest to let them meet one another. Seo Eun-Woo expressed her feeling to Yoo Se-Poong so that he can stay here. Choi Yeon-Hwa and her boyfriend took this opportunity to run away together. Jo Shin-Woo was angry because Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo released them. Yoo Se-Poong told her about his past and the reason why he must go to Hanyang.

The King came to Gyesu Clinic to look for Yoo Se-Poong. He asked him to take care of Court Maid Wol who was on her way to the clinic as well. The King asked him to treat her well and uncover the truth of the death of late king. Court Maid Wol was constantly in fear and she refused to talk. Man-Bok, Granny, Lady Nam-Hae, Gye Ib-Bun and Jang-Goon also helped to clean up her house. She was touched and glad that they were nice to her. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo went to the palace to meet the King. They told him that they were unable to protect the court maid. The King did not scold them. In fact. He asked Jo Tae-Hak for help and threatened him with the medical knife. After getting supports from Jo Tae-Hak, Im Soon-Man went to the clinic and kidnapped Man-Bok, Lady Nam-Hae, Gye Ib-Bun, Jang-Goon and Gye Ji-Han. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo came back and saw the clinic was in a mess. Granny told them what had happened earlier on.

Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo also talked to patient and learned that he was addicted to opium. With the source given by Granny and patient, Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo found their hiding. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo rescued them. Im Soon-Man was being shot by an arrow and passed away. All the dansacho was destroyed.

Jo Tae-Hak scolded Jo Shin-Woo for not killing Yoo Se-Poong earlier. Jo Shin-Woo explained that he killed Im Soon-Man and burnt all the dansacho. However, he could not find him after the incident. Yoo Se-Poong, Seo Eun-Woo and Gye Ji-Han were there to find the evidence against Jo Tae-Hak and Im Soon-Man’s corruption as well as the proof of killing the late king. They gathered all the evidences and presented to the King. They planned to catch both Jo Tae-Hak and Shin Gwi-Sook. Yoo Se-Poong also brought all the members came to his house.

After investigation, Jo Shin-Woo was soon to be released from the prison. Right after he was released, Yoo Se-Poong quickly met him and asked why he killed Court Maid Wol and wondered whether did he kill his father too. Jo Shin-Woo explained that he did not kill his father. The bufferfly ornament represent the Jo’s family. He also told him that Court Maid Wol did not die and she was hiding in the temple for the time being.

Firstly, they cornered Shin Gwi-Sook and caught Jo Shin-Woo. Jo Tae-Hak ordered his men to kill Yoo Se-Poong. Luckily, Gye Ji-Han was acting fast to protect him from getting hurt. However, the man slashed his body and he suffered loss of blood. Jo Shin-Woo shot the arrow from far to prevent the man from attacking Yoo Se-Poong. Yoo Se-Poong and Seo Eun-Woo treated his wound and prepared tonics for his recovery.

During the court meeting, the king would like to re-instate Yoo Se-Poong as the Head of Acupuncture. Yoo Se-Poong also pointed out Jo Shin-Woo and Shin Gwi-Sook wrongdoings. As a witness, Court Maid Wol also came and told everyone about what had happened that day and how Yoo Hoo-Myung was being murdered. Since they have valid evidence against Jo Shin-Woo and Shin Gwi-Sook, Jo Shin-Woo decided to take away his life by consuming dansacho in front of the King.

The King would like to promote Yoo Se-Poong as Royal Physician to treat his illness. He also offered Gye Ji-Han to work in Medical office. However, Gye Ji-Han decided to turn down the offer and continued to work at Gyesu Clinic. Yoo Se-Poong has no choice but to stay in the palace to treat the King. 3 months later, Yoo Se-Poong and Man-Bok came back to Gyesu Clinic.

Seo Eun-Woo quickly went to the big tree to tell Yoo Se-Poong about it. While he was waiting for her, the royal guards came to bring Yoo Se-Poong back to the palace.
